I read the other reviews after we had booked our holiday. If I had read them before, it may have stopped us going. Looking at the negatives I read about The Blue Princess, here is our take on it: Steep walks: We were moved due to an issue with our room before we arrived, and we were changed from a family room to a maisonette, which is up a very steep hill. I won't lie, it is very steep and i dreaded walking up there 2 or 3 times a day, but I am overweight and unfit, so if i can manage it, so can most people.  However, the hotel is very accommodating so if you book and then email them with a request for a room lower down and one is available, they will do this for you. We had the option of moving to our original room lower down, but we chose chose stay where we were. Food: my first all inclusive holiday. I usually prefer self catering. Lots of options here, hot food mostly good, some not so good, but enough choice that anyone should find something they like. The salad choices are lovely, and all fresh, nice desserts, plenty of ice cream, chunky chips everyday lunch and dinner, which my fussy eater son was very grateful for. Fresh, crusty bread at every meal. Breakfast has cold cuts, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, beans, bacon, eggs. Good selection. We found no problems with food except for the occasional overcooked meat or fish. They do sandwiches at 11.00, cakes and tea in the afternoon. You will not go hungry here. Soft drinks are fine, wine and beer is OK. Accommodation: ours was very nice. Basic, but clean. Air conditioning is a godsend. Rooms cleaned everyday, clean sheets and towels. Bugs? We had a massive spider who refused to leave, so we let her stay. A couple of millipedes we chucked back outside and the occasional ant. That's it. You will see massive grasshoppers in the gardens. Wasps: yes, there are wasps. They aren't trying to sting you, leave them some full sugar soft drink dregs in a cup and they will go in there. There aren't any more than you would expect in the UK, except for the top pool and the Thalassa restaurant. In the restaurant they will wrestle you for your food and do backstroke in the sauce on your plate.  We took travel citronella diffusers (£6 for two off Amazon) and they work really well. Staff: all the staff at The Blue Princess were professional and polite. Some more friendly than others, but all of them were very good at their jobs. Maria on reception is wonderful, she can't do enough for you even though she is incredibly busy. Extra charges: ok. There is €3 per room, per day taxes. Compulsory. You can pay €5 for a safety box in reception to keep your passports etc. safe. That is optional. If you don't want to take beach towels you can get them from reception. They are €10 each for the deposit, which you get back when you return them, plus €1 towards the cleaning costs. Again, optional. You pay for drinks and food in the Poseidon bar and in Thalassa restaurant. You get 20% off food and 30% off drinks. It's a choice, you can use the area or not. It's more fun down there at night, but you still have the free bar and seating upstairs. Beach sun beds €8 for 2 with shade. Worth it. Can't sit on those pebbles comfortably unless you're under 25. All of this is worth taking the extra €€ because there isn't much else to spend your money on anyway, but you don't have to spend any extra if you don't want to. We had a lovely holiday here. We were by the top pool, which has wonderful views, inclusive drinks, shared areas and is much quieter than the main pool next to the hotel. The beach is fantastic, but make sure you have beach shoes with a sturdy sole. The large pebbles are hard to walk on in bare feet and they get very hot. We took snorkeling masks ( you can buy these in the little shop by the entrance to the hotel, as well as pool inflatables, snorkels, etc.) and we swam out to the rocks. Loads of fish to see and chase, it is definitely worth getting a snorkel or the mask just to see the fish. The water is so clear. We hired a boat for the day. Prices start at €50 depending on the boat, horsepower, length if time etc. You can go to beaches inaccessible by land, weigh anchor and go swimming or just race around on the sea. There are also pedalos. There was no entertainment when we were there, due to a bereavement in the owner's family, but usually they have singers, Greek nights and so on. We weren't too bothered. There isn't a huge amount for kids to do out of the water, so we took games with us and made sure we had chargers for all electronics. We had a meal in Thalassa restaurant on the last night. I wish we had eaten there on other nights. The food is very good. The fried shrimp is 3 huge, meaty prawns in a tomato and feta sauce, absolutely delicious, as were the rest of the meals. The prices aren't bad and there is 20% off. The only downside for us was not realising the cost/difficulty of seeing other parts of the island by road, so we really only saw the other parts of the island when we were on the coach picking up people to go to the airport, but other than that, we had a lovely holiday here. Don't let the negative reviews put you off. If you have any concerns, email Maria at the hotel and she will help you.

Lovely location, stunning and safe bay/beach and being first timers for an all inclusive we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a maisonette with sea view .. be aware these are quite a climb up to , but worth it when you are there ! Great water for snorkelling and boat hire is great. Our waiter Kostas was brilliant!

What an incredible holiday at the Blue Princess Hotel. My parents booked a 2 week stay at The Blue Princess Hotel for my dad’s 60th birthday a year ago, and my sister and I booked to surprise him on the second week. The staff were so welcoming when we got there and they even very kindly upgraded us to be in the room next to our parents. The accommodation is amazing, gorgeous villa complexes dotted around the hillside with incredible views of the gorgeous bay and ocean. We had a double room was very comfortable, with air con and an en-suite. Regularly cleaned and bedding changed. There are 3 pools (challenge to find the 3rd one!) and plenty of boat taxis on the beach. We hired a boat and drove it ourselves around the sea and coves nearby which was great fun. The bar has wine and soft drinks on tap, and a lovely bar staff member to serve you beer and spirits. The kitchen and bar staff in particular are so friendly, attentive and such hard workers. Huge credit to all the behind the scenes staff as well! The food is a buffet for every meal with so much choice of lovely hot food which is regularly refreshed, even if you get there at near the end of the meal window. Ice-cream is available all day! Thank you for such an amazing time, the hotel, staff, food, facilities, location and atmosphere are idyllic. We will be dreaming of Blue Princess Hotel until we go back!

Really lovely holiday spot. Food was good (some of the hot meals were a bit wanting and no lamb which surprised us but the salad variety was wonderful, yummy desserts, free ice cream all day). Was hoping for filo/spinach/feta pie which is a great bulk catering option but sadly there was none. Agree that the coca-cola was dreadful 🤣 but thoroughly enjoyed the other drinks on offer. The fish restaurant served delicious food and my husband and I enjoyed a sundown meal there. We had sea view apartments which did have stunning views. Our air-conditioning was not great but had brought a plug in fan so we survived. Our boys room was ice cold which they were happy with and when it broke down they fixed it quickly. Much of the hotel accommodation lost power at one point but was fixed within a couple of hours. Friendly staff who treated each other well too. Lots of space to sit and relax. Beautiful beach and swimming in crystal clear water. Nino's boat hire was fab. Super steakhouse in the village which we got a free hotel taxi to and from it. It needs a little sprucing up in places but overall we loved it and hope to return.

2 week holiday in July fantastic location hotel could do with updating but was very clean. we were a family group traveling with a small baby. My daughter was in the shower one night and the shower screen fell and shattered into a million pieces covering her in glass cutting her arm and hand. When reception were told they gave her a plaster. I was very disappointed at this and felt they could have dealt with the situation bette ax she could have been seriously hurt. Shower screen was not replaced so every time they had a shower the bathroom flooded. Food was good a little repetitive but always a good selection. The beach is nice would recommend beach shoes and feel that sun beds should be part of all inclusive. Definitely recommend walking into village lovely local restaurants very well priced and fantastic food On the whole a lovely holiday the reception staff need training in customer service but all other staff were friendly and helpful

We recently returned from a wonderful two week holiday at The Blue Princess hotel. Our room was in a lovely villa with garden and had a truly stunning sea view from the balcony. It was cleaned every day to a high standard and towels and linen were changed regularly. We loved the short walk down the hill to the dining room and comfortable pool area and enjoyed the varied range of delicious meals provided. Our daughters joined us after the first week to surprise my husband on his birthday and the hotel helped us to keep the surprise and very kindly upgraded the girls to the room next to ours. All the staff were helpful and worked incredibly hard. Thank you! We loved spending the mornings by the pool ( there are 3 pools!) and afternoons swimming and snorkelling in the clear turquoise sea. We booked a boat taxi, from Ninos boat hire, to go across the bay to explore the resort and monastery at Paleokastritsa. Also hired a boat ourselves from Ninos and spent a fabulous day exploring the hidden beaches along the coast. Loved playing cards while sipping cocktails in the evening. There was great entertainment most evenings in the Poseidon beach bar if wanted and we thoroughly enjoyed the Greek Night! On my husband’s birthday we ate at the hotel’s a la carte Thalassa restaurant and enjoyed a superb meal overlooking the beach and sea. This is a wonderful hotel in a stunning location and we would thoroughly recommend it for a couples or family holiday. Thank you Blue Princess hotel for an unforgettable holiday. We can’t wait to return before too long!

We have just returned from our 2 week stay and we had a great time! Our room was fine and our sea view made it extra special. Room was cleaned every day with clean towels provided. Food was fine and what you expect from an all inclusive package. The A La Carte restaurant is worth a visit and I would highly recommend the steak, best I have ever had! The 3 pools are of a good size, a shame ice creams are not available at all 3- ice cream only available at the bottom pool, in the restaurant. Otto (the bar man) at the top pool (highest pool) is great and really made an effort to get to know us. He is a real asset to the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel if you have mobility issues as the hills are quite steep!! Overall a great holiday, and we have returned feeling very relaxed! Thank you to Maria and the rest of the hotel team.

The hotel complex is located on a hill or at least a part of it known as blue aqua (blue princess is located near the beach and is not so hilly, the road smells bad because of the trash that no one takes care of and it seems that its leaking a fluid that makes the road smell awful. We paid for a sea view, they got us 2 rooms (we were 4 family members) which were separated and they did not give us rooms closer to each other. After a few days some people came in the next door and we learnt, that they are family of a much more members, they had rooms close to each other and they were loud. One of our rooms had a broken AC or something because the water from it was falling on our side of wall making a water puddle on the ground. We paid for all inclusive, but the only one who had all inclusive were mosquitoes sucking my blood every night, there also was a camel and a worm living with us. Not paying for all inclusive ever again if the hotel just provide us cheap copies of original drinks such as brizz cola? The waiters were arguing sometimes and had sour face, guests often had to get the cutlery on their own. The food is just a semi finished food and was not tasty, we even heard other guests complain and cry about it. The beach is okay, you can rent a 2 beds 1 sun shade for 10 euros. We rent a boat for 70 Euros, guy had problems with starting the engine of our boat, he did not even know what was going on, did not give us proper instructions on what to do when the boat jams, 1 hour into the boat adventure the boat jammed. I had to call the guy and wait, he came and tried to start the engine for 10 minutes, then he found how to start it. If they told us how to fix it by the phone we could save like 30 minutes. If you want to rent a car, make sure you are an elite driver, because those roads are really slim and the hills are really hard for motor. The last day in the complex the water was not working and the woman at the reception said it will work every minute (it didn't) we couldn't take a shower before the flight and we came home covered in salt. Later we discovered that the cleaners stole something from us, because we did not even unpack the thing and it was missing. This hotel has really high rating and its weird, they had to suddenly change the standards or something. The only positive thing i found about this hotel is barman that was really friendly and you could chat with him (he is probably bored to stand all day in a place and sometimes serve someone)

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at this hotel. The hotel is located in a beautiful bay where the sea is absolutely turquoise. The hotel is located in the area of beautiful bays with clear sea We stayed in a wonderful family room with a partial sea view, the terrace was overgrown with trees and flowers. Paradise! The room was modern, well equipped - nothing was missing. The beds were very comfortable. In the restaurant there was a daily choice of many excellent and tasty dishes. The chefs are really handy. Those who wanted to try seafood could use the restaurant next door, where hotel guests have discounts. We were most excited about the people who work at the hotel. They really put their whole heart into their work! The entire team of people looking after our well being and satisfaction were absolutely fantastic! They never had a problem with anything, they were always willing to help with anything. They were always smiling and always nice, even though they worked every day and all day. Everyone there put their whole heart into their work. I would like to name here (and I apologize to all the others whose names I do not know): Kostas, Irene, Monika, Alexandra, Ilia, Jannis, Armani from the restaurant, Gina and her husband, Konstantinos and Jannis from the bar, Spyros, Marcos from the reception and their great manager (I do not know his name). These people gave our holiday another - more beautiful and unforgettable dimension. I never go back to the same place twice, but to this hotel and to these people (I hope they will be there) we will be very happy to return :-)

We just got home from a week at The Blue Princess which can only be described as utter PARADISE!! My sister and I surprised my parents half way through their 2 week break for my dad's 60th birthday and The Blue Princess exceeded our expectations in every way. Maria and team you went above and beyond keeping our surprise secret and  giving us the room next to our parents, we are so grateful ❤. The location is absolutely stunning and the hotel and beautiful grounds had everything we could have possibly wanted (including⁵ kittens!). We enjoyed relaxing by the pool, swimming in the perfectly clear sea, jumping from the rocks at the Acapulco bar round the bay, and had the best time taking a little boat out to explore hidden beaches and coves up and down the coast (shout out to Ninos boat company  - you guys are amazing!). The all inclusive food and drinks were brilliant and delicious (loved the beer and Rosè on tap especially!), and the catering and bar team were exceptional and so friendly. Huge thank you to everyone at Blue Princess for making our family holiday incredibly special 💙. We are already excited to visit again!
