This luxury Bed and Breakfast, Set among superb English gardens, with fine dining options, offers exquisite interiors with art objects from all over the world, gorgeous food and wonderful hospitality. This isn't just a B&B - it "feels more like staying at a hotel belonging to friends," Gwen Garfield-Bennet, Presenter, BBCTV. The D-Day Landing beaches, the wonderful island abbey of Le Mont St. Michel, and Bayeux (and its famous tapestry) are all within an hour's drive.

Ideal place to stay for looking round the area and, because we had come over to view some properties, was ideally located for the various places we were going to see. We stayed 7 nights in all and were made to feel very welcome from the beginning. The place has a nice calm atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after househunting or exploring the area - we would recommend going to see Mont St Michel. Breakfast was always more than we could eat - cereals, pastries, bread / toast and preserves, fruit, yoghurt and home-grown eggs! We were near enough to local towns to make use of restaurants or cafes for lunches and evening meals, although we did opt to eat-in on a few occasions to partake of some of Krishna's excellent cooking. In particular on our last night, when Krishna &

We would recommend Arts in the Garden having recently enjoyed an overnight stop there on route to Brittany. The B&B met all our expectations: welcoming hosts, clean accommodation with comfortable beds, hearty breakfast and perfect location; not far from the main route through Normandy to Brittany and yet a real countryside retreat. We loved staying in the Green Room which has a lovely view across the Normandy countryside at the back of the house and we agreed with our son when he commented that he wished we were spending the whole week there. We hope to return.

Unfortunately we have to agree with the Jan 2010 review by '2muskateers'. Myself and my husband visited with my parents, stayed for 2 nights and although clean and tidy, I would not term the B&B as 'luxury holiday accommodation'. My parents were in the 'white room' & we were in the 'green room'. A 'mezzanine' in the green room is a far stretch, to get to the bed you have to climb up a ladder (similar to as if it was a top bunk bed) and the bed was bacially a mattress on the floor (could not stand up due to restricted ceiling height). The B&B is at least 15-20min from the main motorway (A84) & half decent choice of eating places. The roads to the B&B are narrow country lanes with no lighting so at night time it can be difficult to find your way back. Although stated on the

On travelling to Normandy we tackled all weathers but this was well worth it for the welcome we received at The Arts In The Garden. They even had to come and rescue us as we got lost! Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely owners, Krishna and Brian. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The food was absolutely delicious as Krishna has excellent culinary skills with varied tastes to suit all. We spent the evenings around a large wood burning stove in candlelight surroundings amongst good company. We would recommend you visit this B&B when travelling to Normandy!

My husband and I have just had the most wonderful stay at Arts in the Garden. Brian and Krishna are such kind and charming hosts, making us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Krishna's food is superb - our evening meals were absolutely delicious and the breakfasts were also a real treat with a variety of pastries, bread, cheese, ham, eggs, yoghurts and fruit - always a great start to the day! The location of the B&B is fantastic - close to Mont St Michel, Bayeux and other major tourist attractions in Normandy, whilst being surrounded by beautiful countryside and delightful villages. We had some lovely walks in the local area and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the picturesque Normandy countryside. A perfect end to the day was coming back to a warm welcome from

The location and the hosts are unbelievable. Food was gourmet, with many courses, each served with wine. This was our second stay with Krishna and Brian, who took care of our every need and offered stimulating conversaton and travel suggestions, as well. Our room was comfortable, with a new bathroom with towel warmers(!), and beautiful views of the garden and the landscape behind. We were introduced to wonderful people from the village, that invited us into their homes. I took art courses with Brian and he was a wonderful and patient teacher. The B and B is neat, clean, well located, comfortable like your own home, and private. Normandy is a fascinating place of history and culture, like no other. Our privacy was well preserved, but we were welcome to be as social as we

This chambre d'hote just did not live up to our expectations after reading the reviews on this site, felt compelled to add this review as concerned for future travellers. Arts in the garden is really very much off the beaten track and tricky to find, it takes at minimum of 25 minutes to the nearest town not 10 as suggested, to find restaurants there is that long drive through mostly rural roads. We dined with Krishna and Brian on our first evening which was pleasant but there was an atmosphere that this was a little tiring for them, particularly Krishna who I found quite ascerbic throughout the stay. We were told on two occasions that they would be out for the day so we could not return to the house until after 5 as would be locked - great!! The room was ok, but noisy, we awoke

Arts in Garden is a wonderful B&B, primarily due to the kind hosts who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The location is a bit off the main road - something that we liked. On arrival you are welcomed into a dining and living room with a wood burning stove. The bed rooms are comfortable and clean. Be sure to call ahead and make reservations for dinner. The food is outstanding and just what we needed after arriving from a day outside in the cold Normandy weather. The outside gardens are also interesting and testament to hard work to create an oasis of art in the countryside. In short, Arts in the Garden was everything that we had hoped for!

The location is refreshingly tranquil, scenic and wholesome. Arts in the garden provided an ideal location for us to visit memorable villages, towns and historic sites in Normandy while returning in the evenings for most enjoyable jogs through the french countryside, unique and warm chats in our hosts' most endearing garden nooks and the most hospitable and delightful gourmet meals served elegantly and generously in their warm and enjoyable dinning room. An experience to be remembered for a long time.
