We loved this retreat for the relaxing atmosphere, superb Sri Lankan Food and wonderful personal service. Raja looked after us so well in Aerie cottage and chef (sorry, forgotten your name) visited at least twice a day to agree menus and attend to our very need. There was so much to do that our three nights just weren't enough. The...

We arrived dusty and tired after a long journey, and had no idea what a delight was waiting for us. we opened up the doors of our villa to a view that would rival the Grand Canyon!. i agree, it was like living in your spinster Aunts house, but that was absolutely the charm of the place. The staff were...

This place is simply stunning! The views will take your breath away. The cottages have been frozen in time and are very 'English' in a nice way. We had rose cottage, a 3 bedroom cottage, each with a bathroom, a quaint kitchen/parlour, living room/diner and terrace. Plus it's own garden and eating area over looking the stunning tea country. The...

We had actually emailed this place a couple of times after a friends recommendation but never received any kind of reply. This isn't the kind of place that you're normally driving by, but as luck would have it, we were. So we bobbed in and lo and behold Aerie was available for just one night. The cottage itself is like...

Dear ChinaGed, We are truly happy that you enjoyed every bit of your stay at Kelburne Mountain View. Yes, we have tried to keep it as authentic as a planter’s bungalow was in days gone by. From your review, we believe the weather must have been perfect and that you could truly see the southern shore of Sri Lanka. We...

Charming turn of century bungalows each with private house boy. Remarkable views stretching for ever and the name of ours 'aerie' says it all. This places captures the old colonial way of life. And is a great place to unwind in the cool for a few days.

Having stayed in all the three cottages (a new one is being added) at Kelburne Mountain View, several times over the past 25 years, I took my house manager and his family to stay in Wild Flower cottage for the weekend. It is even better than ever. Bathrooms are superb with hot water from a rain shower. Beds have lots...

Based on the sheer strength of the reviews here, I booked The Kelburne Mountain View Cottages for 3 nights, confident of a flawless experience. But it was not to be so. Kelburne Mountain View features three cottages: Aerie, Wildflower, and Rose. Sitting on the terrace of our colonial-style cottages, you will marvel at the vista that spreads before you.
