I was surprised from my other half with a 3 day break away, the place itself is pretty! We stayed in the golden oak cabin within the woodland area, it was such a pretty place to stay. Although the food is pricy, the delivery service to your door is very quick. We have booked again to go away in February!

This was our second forest holidays and first to forest of dean. From our arrival to our departure nothing was too much hassle. Our cabin in the woods was fantastic and kids loved the hot tub. Only disappointment was we didn't see wild boar ( hardly forest holidays fault! ). We will definitely return to forest holidays and would highly...

Really relaxed and chilled out holiday, fortunate with the weather although it was July, the forest retreat was a little expensive for food and drinks, the accommodation was good, we stayed in the oak cabin and everything described prior to booking was true, took our dog and had plenty of different walks, would recommend a walk to symonds yat through...

We have stayed at the forest of Dean before and although we will probably stay again (due to location only) we felt as though this particular site is falling short of standards. We arrived at 2pm and checked in early having paid the extra fee prior to arrival. Check in was fast and efficient and we were given cabin #56...

We visited the 11th to the 15th of July. I don't know where to start - but everything I would like to say is of the highest praise. The setting is tranquil and breathtaking, our cabin (number 19 - Golden Oak) was beyond what we were hoping it would be like. We had perused the photos and knew that it...

Had a great holiday with my husband and two children. The lodge was so nice, clean and airy. We had a hot tub and can't honestly say it entertained our kids more than anything else while we were away. We had a few days out and even a trip to the cinema. Great visit, would definitely return

8 of us stayed in a Golden Oak cabin with hot tub on the veranda. The cabin was furnished and fitted out to a very high standard with more than enough crockery and glasses of all types which I have found lacking in other similar type places I have stayed in. Bathrobes and towels for each person were included which...

My husband booked a long weekend break here as a suprise. Had a lovely time in the areas , plenty of amazing walks and sights to see all dog friendly.
