If doing a tour of the Ribera Del Duero, you can do worse than this lovely gem of a hotel. Located in a sleepy village, it's a converted river mill. As others have said, the ground floor rooms have a deck plus you don't have to carry your luggage up the stairs (no lifts). However the first floor rooms have...

The bedroom and bathroom are very large and clean. The hotel is located in a tiny city alongside the Ribeira del Duero wine route, it's actually located beside the river and you can hear the water running 10 meters from the room. The sleep quality is fantastic. The breakfast is really good with local content. The hotel has a restaurant...

This was our first stop after arriving in Madrid. An excellent location for exploring Ribeiro del Duero. The hotel is immaculate and the old mill integrates well with the modern rooms. The deck outside the ground floor rooms is very pleasant although the river view is limited by trees. Excellent breakfast, too. I wish we could have stayed longer.

This small hotel is a renovated mill with a separate modern building for the bedrooms. We visited in May 2016 and had room 108 on the ground floor with doors onto a shared terrace overlooking the river Duero. The room was furnished modernly with plenty of storage space. The bathroom was well equipped with rain shower and bidet. The mini...

As others have said, from the outside it looks like an old mill; inside it is completely modern, yet it still has a rustic feel to it because of the use of natural wood and stone. If you are a Penafiel or Ribera del Douro fan, then this seems like pretty much the perfect place to stay. It's also not...

Fuente Acena is a great hotel in a very small, plain town. The rooms are large with comfortable beds and good storage. If you get a ground floor room you have direct access to a private deck next to the river. All hotel guests may use the deck. For colder months there are 2 cozy sitting areas with fireplaces. The...

From the exterior, this hotel looks like a quaint, refurbished 18th or 19th century mansion . However, once you enter, you realize that the façade is just that – – a façade that hides a very modern, rather minimalist design. The hotel and it's public areas are very interesting architecturally, and all the guestrooms have huge floor,to,ceiling Windows that give...

Stayed 2 nights on our trip to Ribera del Duero. The hotel location is at the western end of the valley but a good location for visiting the wine region. The location next to the river is delightful, hard to get in the area. Rooms are spacious and have a simple elegance. Ground level has access to the terrace which...

What an amazing place to stay in Ribera del Duero. The hotel is gorgeous, rooms are comfy and big with balcony to the wooden terrace, the natural sounds of the Duero river and birds, crisp air, amazing wine selection from their cellar, incredible dinner (make sure you pre order the lechazo - baby lamb), outstanding service by the staff (special...
