We book one night here on our way to San Sebastián. It was the most amazing experience. From the peacefulness of the grounds, to the wonderful dinner and the amazing castle itself. The room had an amazing view and the bed was very comfortable. When you step outside all you hear is the sound of birds. Breakfast was included, and... More

This castle build in 1050 is maintained in pristine condition. It has all the furniture and armory of the Middle Ages. The rooms have all the amenities of a 5 stars hotel. The restaurant, build where the stables where centuries ago, has amazing local food, and breakfast can be served in your own private library or your own armory room!... More

We stayed here for two nights in April and I can honestly say it was the most amazing, interesting and lovely places I have ever been to. The entire atmosphere of the castle takes you back to the time it was first built. You feel immersed in the ambiance and it is really refreshing compared to a usual stay in... More

We stayed here with our dog on our way from Zurich to Lisbon. Rooms with their own outside entrance are available for people to stay with their dogs, and when we arrived at our room there was even a nice soft doggie bed and water bowl for our girl. Ahead of time,by email exchange, the staff were very helpful in... More

A real medieval castle with all the creature comforts you may wish. The perfect place to go with your loved one, your kids or your friends. And if the place is gorgeous, the staff are incredible, they make you feel right at home. If you want a quiet place to relax, this castle is ideal and also the perfect place... More

I am very glad to have stayed here, though hungry and disappointed by lack of food and poor service, the actual building and pool was fantastic. After reading reviews I requested NO dungeon, however we got it anyway and found the rooms were good. Smelt a bit dungeony but they are actually more private than the next level rooms as... More

This was an amazing hotel inside an old castle. We stayed here for one night on our way back from the Algarve to the Channel Tunnel. The hotel had an excellent restaurant (which was just as well because it was in the middle of nowhere) and a very pleasant swimming pool situated in the old moat. The rooms were large... More

We stayed in a nearby monastery/hotel, but had to move because of a weddingparty. The friendly guy at the reception recommended this castle and we were very hopeful. The location is very beautiful indeed and most of the rooms as well. We had a large room with s view and a less attractive room downstairs. In the latter room you... More

Dear Silvia, First of all, thank you for your feedback, as it helps us improve. However, it is a pity to read these words, knowing you wrote this critic before talking to the hotel staff, so we could not solve your disappointment. Our only goal is to please our guests and to make sure they have a wonderful time with... More

11 of us stayed here in July. Fantastic experience. It was a real castle where you could explore and touch everything. Everyone loved the secret entrance to the breakfast area. We stayed in one of the suites. Small stone steps down to the bedroom. Such a fun experience. The staff were lovely too. Everyone loved their stay - really memorable.... More

The room was beautiful, the bed comfortable and the bathroom (shower, bath and amenities) were luxurious. This isn't what you'd picture when you think of a fairytale castle but because of that it seemed more authentic. The surrounds were very peaceful and it's away from the bustle of Salamanca. Our GPS took us through the back roads (dirt roads!!) but... More
