We had an amazing 3 days at Hopewell; Lynley and Mike have created a wonderful place to stay that is peaceful, homely, and fun. There are some nice walks to do from the accommodation and the sports equipment available to hire is great value. We also had the best pizza and Anzac biscuits of our 2 months in NZ here!...

We had a lovely stay at Hopewell, we loved the people, the surroundings, the mussel cook-ups, the kayaks, the kitchen, the view, the carrot cake and so on and so on. Will definitely be back for more!!

Until 3 days ago, Hopewell was only a place we had read about and dreamed of visiting - after 3 glorious days, Hopewell was everything we had imagined and way more - just an unbelievable slice of paradise - but for sure the highlight was the warm kiwi welcome every guests receives from Mike and Lynley - there are so...

My only regret is: not having booked more than 2 nights. And the next time I'll take the water taxi option for transfer - recommended if you're not a major fan of really winding tiny roads. Hopewell is a stunning, peaceful and beautiful place, run by dedicated people loving what they do. Swim in the Sounds, kayak, hike between enormous...

This is the place to go to enjoy New Zealand. Mike and Lynley were the kindest and most gracious hosts. They were able to accommodate a change in dates for us quite easily. When we arrived at Hopewell after Mike had picked us up in his boat, we were offered a coffee! Love that coffee! We kayaked, took hikes, swam,...

Mike & Lynley are the best and most gracious hosts! My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in mid-February and wished we had stayed longer. They had a green lip mussel dinner night which was delicious. Lynley is a magnificent bread and pizza maker. Hopewell is a must see when visiting New Zealand.

I don't know where to begin. After quite a long drive you arrive in paradise. Mike and Linley are the best hosts I ever had. The coffee is awesome. The rooms are beautiful and oh those comfy beds!!! The only critic I have is that the bathroom situation could be improved. It could be more facilities and/or with a bit...

We visited from Christmas Eve for 3 nights. Lynley and Mike and the team put on a really tasty Christmas meal for their guests plus locals. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. As we were part of a large group bunks were part of the deal, these were well constructed And comfortable. There are kayaks, fishing gear, walks and much more...

We arrived at hopewell by kayak on a rainy, cool day in early December. When we were arrived Lynley helped us with our kayak and instantly made us coffee served with cookies to warm us up. On arrival we found that Lynley had sent us a text earlier in the day offering a full refund if the weather was too...
