Nice corner setting, but with limited outdoor front of building car parking. Not good on wet days, when you need to load or un-load cars. It is run by a nice couple, whom have a 4 month old baby. Checking in time usually between 4-6pm. 6 rooms & separate annex available. Room £65 for 2 people. Nothing included. Breakfast charged... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't fault anything at all. Terry and his wife were great hosts and made us feel extremely comfortable throughout the stay. Our room had a great view across the valley and included a hair dryer, shampoos, tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits (which were replenished each day) The breakfast was spot on... More

We have been to reeth a few times in the past and always enjoyed it . We decided to give the arkleside a go and what a great decision it was . Ideal location just off the village green and fantastic hosts in terry and Hannah . Terry couldn't have been any more welcoming to myself and my wife and... More

This place a truly a gem in Reeth. For £55 a night, we were, to be frank, expecting a basic standard – but we were extremely wrong! £55 per night is a fantastic price with extras you wouldn’t expect for that price including bottled water and dressing gowns. The hotel is quaint, a friendly welcome, superb views from Room 3... More

Welcoming owners, very clean room and bathroom, great view and fantastic breakfast. They had placed the extra duvets I had requested on our bed prior to our arrival. The bed was very uncomfortable with painful springs, the room was tiny with awkward with eves coming down over the bed making access to my tiny travel bag difficult. Good for one... More

Couple of nights away to rest and enjoy the quiet of Reeth. Stayed in this lovely guesthouse. Lovely clean, cosy room. Lovely modern bathroom with walk-in shower and lovely toiletries. Nice touches in the room, eg, herbal/fruit teas and bottled water. We didn't have breakfast, however the smell was delicious. Owners really welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be visiting... This was our first ever time staying in a guest house and it exceeded our expectations. Hannah and terry are absolutely lovely and very welcoming. We came to stay as a couple with our dog, and even Honey (the dog) seemed very happy. Everything in the guesthouse is at an excellent standard... The rooms are lovely, comfy beds, very clean,... We booked a one night stay for our wedding anniversary through Booking.com. We arrived too early and were asked to come back after 4pm which we did. After a very long day we arrived back at the guest house to find that we had not been allocated an en-suite room which we had booked via Booking.com and were offered a... More

We had a lovely weekend at the Arkleside. We booked last minute and the only room they had was not en suite, but had a private bathroom; this worked fine and, as the room was cheaper, made the weekend great value. The room was small but lovely. Bottled water was provided in the rooms each day which was a lovely... More

A warm friendly greeting when we arrived at this clean and cosy guest house. Our room was small but everything was there including a generous supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. The view from our window and from the lovely breakfast room was absolutely fantastic. Situated in the centre of the village and handy for a few pubs serving food... More
