Friendly staff, fantastic service, great facilities. One of our best dive experiences and stays to-date. We plan to return. Room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. A good variety of food choices were provided at all meals and dining room seating enabled interaction with other guests. Camera room, dip tanks and storage area were all well thought out. Dive master worked very hard to find critters and ensure all divers were included.
If you choose to dive the Lembeh Strait, and I highly suggest it, staying at Lembeh Resort should be the easiest part of the decision process. The Rooms--Beautifully appointed ,Very Clean, well-stocked, comfortable beds, great lanai areas--We had a luxury Hillside Cottage (be willing to walk up a hill) and the view was awesome. The Service--Very simple, if you ask for it you will get it if it's physically possible. I don't think I saw a single employee with anything less than a smile on their face. And everything was don personally, they make a great effort to learn your name immediately to give everything that extra personal touch. This goes throughout the resort, from Front Desk to Dining Staff and everywhere else. The Food!!--Unbelievable!!! I heard it was good, but it far exceeded every expectation in the food department. An incredibly rich and diverse menu that touch every region of cuisine while keeping touch with local Indonesian tradition. And did I mention Home-made Ice cream?!?! Overall, this is more than a 5-Star resort experience. I will be returning soon. We bought this as part of a package deal with a group of friends. I'll be honest, I looked at less expensive alternatives before I arrived but I'm so so glad we went to Lembeh Resort. There's no need to look elsewhere in Lembeh. Spent three nights here (2 before dive boat and 1 after). Beautiful and tranquil spot, all the personnel are so warm and friendly. The food was delicious and the service was great. As others have said, get ready for some stair climbing but it’s part of the charm. Also, Critters at Lembeh (their on site dive company) was awesome. Vinjay spotted so much!
My partner and I spent a week at Lembeh Resort in February with Kathrin and Tarkan. From the beautiful bungalow with a view of the Lembeh Strait and open bathroom, to the excellent food, which we have never experienced in this variety in Indonesia, to the incredible friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at the reception and in the service, this resort is a dream in every respect. The very clean bungalows extend to the right and left of the reception and are wonderfully embedded in the rainforest. The food is excellent and offers typical local Sulawesian cuisine as well as various international dishes with meat, fish or vegetarian. The affiliated dive center "Critters at Lembeh" offers a very good service. The equipment including camera is carried daily by the friendly staff on the spacious dive boats. There are 3 dives offered daily to nearby dive sites, which are reached in max. 10 min. Also night dives or black water dives are in the program. The guides are very friendly and do their best to find even the rarest critters. The dive groups are kept very small, so that every photographer can take enough time for his pictures. We enjoyed our time at Lembeh Resort very much and we will definitely come again. Many thanks to the whole staff and the management Kathrin and Tarkan. You rock! Best wishes René & Silvie…
A great resort for a SCUBA adventure in Indonesia. We were here for a few days to do some muck diving in the Lembeh Strait, and really enjoyed our time here a lot more than we expected. The staff are amazing and really go out of their way to make a visit special. Food for all meals was exceptional and the night they barbecued was especially outstanding. The rooms are spacious and secluded giving you a chance to experience life in the jungle. Caution, you will have to navigate a lot of stairs, but the staff took care of all logistics for luggage and gear.
A great place to stay! The staff, rooms and food are wonderful! Great selection of food with new dishes at every meal. Diving is amazing if you are into maco/muck. Will be heading back in 2024 for another week.
Everything about the resort was top-notch!! The staff were helpful and courteous, the room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the cooks were amazing!! Everything was very well organized. Lembeh resort is a fun and easy place to be. It's like living a fantasy!
We went to a photo workshop with Erin Quigley (GoAskErin) and her team, Joel and Jen Penner. Lembeh is a famous place to dive in "muck" sand with odd critters, but including beautiful clownfish and other reef fish. The resort was fantastic, starting with great communication before the trip. The staff learned our names (of everyone in the workshop) and always greeted us with care and kindness. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Our room was lovely (although there were a number of stairs to climb). The staff and workshop leaders were always available to help us in every way.
This is the first time I’ve stayed at Lembeh resort but I will return. The dive shop is very professional. Normal guest to guide ratio is no more than 4-1. While there our ratio was 3-1. They took great care of our equipment and helped us load unload safely from the dive boats. The boats are really comfortable. Normal routine is 2 morning dives, back for lunch, then afternoon and optional special dusk, or night dives. Snacks are provided on the boats. Safety equipment is also on each boat. Food was fabulous. I require a special diet and the staff was on top of that. Often I suffer through food that tastes ok to meet my dietary requirements. Not the case here. It was exceptional quality and taste. I stayed in Cabin 1. Great view, fresh fruit every day. Complimentary cookies. Filtered water. Comfortable bed with AC. There is a phone in the room, that is a nice touch considering it can be a trek to the dining area and office. I used the laundry service. A+. Arranged a airport, transfers and a tour through them. All flawless. I did have a few mishaps while there. I tripped and threw my phone, as well as skinned my knee. One of the employees was helping me carry things to my room at the time. I was fine, my phone not so much but I have insurance, within 4 minutes the guest relations manager and dive shop manager were at my door making sure I was ok and I didn’t need first aid. They probably would have found a way to fix my phone (yes, they did ask about my phone) if I had wanted the help. They were also helpful when I broke my glasses. They had their engineer do a temporary repair and actually looked for a way to get a permanent repair accomplished for me. Fortunately I had a spare pair so that wasn’t necessary. It was really nice to see how hard they tried to make everybody’s stay as comfortable as possible. Lembeh Resort hosts a photography workshop every year (Capturing Critters in Lembeh) and this was a 10th anniversary event. What a great service this is. It was wonderful to have experienced and expert photography assistance. It really helps that they have a photography shop on site as well with the opportunity to rent equipment if you want to try something out. I’ll not talk about the diving here except to say that it is Lembeh. If you are a diver and have never heard of Lembeh it’s time to read up on it and get in touch with Lembeh Resort.…
I came to Lembeh Resort for the 10th annual Capturing Critters at Lembeh event. The critters of Lembeh were phenomenal, many of which I had never seen before. But my biggest takeaway from this trip was the level of care and assistance from the staff of the resort and dive operation. As soon as I stepped off the boat onto the property everyone new my name. I was made to feel as though I was a member of this family. The food was varied and plentiful; the rooms were kept clean and neat throughout my stay. The service in the dining room was warm and friendly. The dive staff were exceptional in service and knowledge of where to find the critters. Behind the scenes tanks were refilled with air of nitrox with a quiet efficiency. Cameras were handled with care from the time you said "my camera is ready" to moment your dive guide said " your camera has been rinsed and ready for you". Any issues that came up during my stay were remedied within minutes. Finally the 2 managers of the resort and dive operations could not have been more gracious and caring. Their efforts were reflected in their staff's effort to make us all feel like we were part of a family. Thank you all at Lembeh Resort. I'll see you next year.…
