We have stayed here for a week. The scuba diving was amazing, we have made 14 incredibly relaxed wall drift dives. The coral was healthy and beautifull. There was no trash, when we were there. Do bot expect to see big fish however. The food was Great. You get three excellent buffet style meals. The staff was very nice. We... More

Wow! What can I really say about this place except for WOW!! We had such an amazing time at the Village Bunaken. It feld like home. We stayed in a bungalow right on the beach side, very well maintained. Good beds and enough space. The hammock outside on our terrace was supernice for relaxing. Dinner is a buffet which offers... We've just returned from a week at The Village Bunaken, and can honestly say that this is the first holiday we've had where we haven't wanted to come home! From the moment we were met at the airport to the moment we were dropped off at the airport we were treated fantastically by Jochem, Angelina and their wonderful staff. The... More

Always uncertain when going back to a place after a few years, especially as taking partner who had heard so much about Sulawesi from my numerous previous dive trips from deep south Wakatobi to the north of Bangka - she had endured 4 weeks of at times tough travel and this was to be the ending chill. Well it hadn't... More

From other reviews, I am sure you are familiar with the owner and style of the place. I would like to highlight something that I wasn't aware or brought to my attention when I read through some of the reviews before my arrival at The Village Bunaken: 1.It is hot over there. I stayed at the Beachview cottage but it... More

Us: fulltime job couple, experienced asia travellers. Service, food, accommodation is good, friendly staff. But keep on reading. We booked for 4 nights but stayed only for 1 on the island. If we would have known the below beforehand, we would never have gone here. Expectations were high, when leaving Manado harbour. Beach, nature, tranquility, romance, ... Disappointments were even... We stayed for a week as a family group of 6 adults and 1 toddler in 3 rooms - one Beachview, one Gardenview and one Garden Villa. We came primarily to dive and enjoyed lots of great wall dives with guides Yanex, Vanus and Eli. We brought our own gear and the staff took care of it all for us,... More
