We are just back from a week in the coastal cottages which are run by the hotel and we all loved the place. The cottage while not the most luxurious is very spacious and has everything needed with a lovely balcony and fabulous views. The kids can play safely in the gardens and it's just a minute from the hotel.... More

We had dinner here, my mum had scallops which was the best, while I settled on crab claws then both my dad and I had half duck and red cabbage, great meal. nice surroundings. Great walks a stone's throw away.

We stayed overnight there while driving the WAW. We had no booking and we were offered a double B&B for €100 and a single B&B for €60. The whole place needs upgrading. Only bar food available on the night which was pricey and skimpy. Breakfast was average and a little greasy

Recently stayed for 2 nights. Staff are very warm & welcoming. Food is fantastic with a good variety for dinner! Breakfast options are limited. Hotel is old fashioned! Bedroom is outdated. Bed was comfortable. Old TV that didn't work. Loose & sweaking floorboards. Dusty & smell of damp. Bathroom newly tiled. Very clean except for skylight which had a grate... More

We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Courtmacsherry Hotel, and I have to say, we loved it. We received the traditional warm Irish welcome even though we arrived very early when they were bang in the middle of breakfast service, and while the staff were understandably busy, they happily made time to make us feel welcome and to... We (Family of 4) stayed for 1 week in July 2015 in the Coastal Cottages (Self Catering) at the rear of the hotel and loved it. Very spacious houses with lovely view overlooking the bay of Courtmacsherry. 1 minute walk to the hotel grounds on a sunny evening for a glass of wine and the children could play in safety.... More

Thank you for your lovely review. Courtmacsherry is a very family orientated village. I'm delighted you got to see so much of the local area. You will at least know your bearings on your next visit. We now have a community shop in the village where you can buy all your amenities. It opened on the June Bank Holiday weekend.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights recently. It's a quaint unmodernised hotel. But.... The views are to die for. Out over the Atlantic Ocean. If you are looking for simple and relaxing place to stay then try this hotel. It is simple and unusual but a slight breath of fresh air in comparison to the glossy high end hotels that are... More

Hello, you are right. We are a little unusual and we are not a modernised hotel nor do we ever strive to be. We still have a lot of work to do with the upkeep of the hotel but we will try and keep it within the era of the hotel, which is Victorian. We are proud to be an... More

Stay there 1st and 2nd January. A quaint old hotel with lots of character. Friendly, helpful staff and the food was fantastic! well presented and excellent value. The bedrooms are very dated but clean and functional. Excellent views over the bay.

We stayed at the hotel at the end of 2015 on a cycling trip to west Cork. The hotel has a lovely bar with a great big fire and friendly staff. The food was excellent and they do a great package dinner, B&B and a welcome mulled wine to celebrate Christmas. The hotel is now open at weekends for the... More

Hello, thank you for your lovely review. The open log fire in the winter months is what draws so many people to the front bar. There is nothing quite like it. We will take your advice on board and we hope to see you again in the future. Delighted you had such a nice stay with us. Kindest regards Ellen... More

We were passing through and ate here at the weekend. Good food, "mighty" fish, really good thin based Italian style pizza that was very tasty, great service, good value. Hello, most of our fish is sourced locally. I do love your description of "mighty". The freshest you can get. Our pizzas are a very popular choice. Stone baked and made to order. Our chatty barman would be Canice. He is a breath of fresh air and so welcoming. We are delighted you had such a good experience with us.... More
