As a large family we visited here a few times last week for morning coffee / lunch.. Their Sausage baps are splendid for both kids / adults. I had the BEST quiche ever in Travera, Sweet potato & spinach, so light, but filling, & so yum yum.. Soups & brown bread also delicious ~ A huge selection of Cakes /... More

Went for a hike in Courtmacsherry and stumbled upon this little gem. What a fabulous find! Had a great light lunch. Hospitality is incomparable and the food was fresh, well-presented and most importantly- delicious! Not to be missed if you're lucky enough to be in the area. Hope to be back one day.

Was working in Courtmacsherry and was heading for lunch in Kinsale. Only problem was that my stomach wasn't going to wait that long. Was driving out of Courtmacsherry when I saw a sign offering a lunch of freshly caught mackerel, but I am not a fish kind of person!! Pulled in 200 yards down the road and walked in, being... More

Came across this township and location by accident late one afternoon - and what a great accident!! Wonderful hosts, home made cooking, best breakfast in Ireland and great room. I would go back there anytime.

We were therefor lunch, the atmosphere was fantastic, the restaurant beautiful. Everything was done to perfection, my favourite being a sideboard full of beautiful desserts making it really hard to choose so we had to have two each. The service was brilliant, the owner was serving and all the diners seemed to have a great relationship with him, It was... More

We had planned to overnight in Clonakilty but changed our mind when we saw it was a bigger town than we had expected. A chance meeting with a local in a grocery store led us to Courtmacsherry and Travara Lodge, the highlight of our trip! Brendan and Richard were very welcoming to their B&B. Delicious food, beautiful room and view... More

Stopped off for a coffee in Courtmacsherry. Options are very limited but came across Travara. What a little gem. A small dining room but straight away you could get the atmosphere, created by the host whose name I think is Richard. We only wanted a cuppa but could not resist the eye watering array of freshly baked cakes on display.... More

I stayed here with 7 other people at the end of March, it wasn't our first stay and certainly won't be our last. All our rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was out of this world, try the homemade soda bread and perserves. Felt welcomed throughout, very cosy and warm. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We walked from Timoleague and stopped at the tearoom today. What a lovely welcome. There was a beautiful selection of homemade cakes, scones and jam. Looking forward to trying the brown bread. Bronwen enjoyed her sausage too. Highly recommend.

I was in Courtmacsherry for the first time last weekend taking part in the Keith Whyte memorial half marathon. afterwards we stopped in Travara Lodge as we could sit outside and watch the runners finish the race. I had a lovely bowl of chowder with the most gorgeous moist brown bread. I loved the bread so much that I bought... More
