I come here fishing, it is alway clean and very comfortable and has everything I need. I have previously stayed in the stand alone cottages these offer good privacy and are also very clean and comfortable. Great setting a little bit away from the town, bird song is amazing.

We booked into a cottage for two nights. on both the recommendation of a friend and the complex's website. Looked good. It was a cold wet day and it took at least two hours for the heating to get high enough so we could take off our jackets. It cooled down quickly when the timer ran out. We ended up having to run the heater over night. A heat pump would be much better. Next problem was that the beds were only doubles - something we haven't been offered to sleep in for many decades. We are elderly and getting creaky so these beds were too small, and, as it turned out not very comfortable. The single control electric blanket didn't suit either as one of us likes it toasty and the other cooler. The sound on the TV was so bad that we gave us watching it after the news. I have good hearing (tested recently). Next morning we were considerably grumpy through lack of sleep that we decided to cut our losses and leave a day early. The cottage idea is great and all it needs is an upgrade with good quality fittings and appliances.

Hi Ron and Sara Since you appear to have had multiple negative experiences during your stay with us we will respond to each matter individually: The cottage heaters operate on a timer system as you have pointed out, the reason for this is to avoid heaters being left on when guests going out. We have never had a guest complain about the effectiveness of the heaters in the cottages. Having said this, heat pumps would be a better option, but all these upgrades come at great cost. In your case where you have very specific sleeping requirements in relation to bed size it may be prudent in future to check with the accommodation provider, what is on offer. You mentioned you were on our website and these details are available there. As for the electric blanket, there are two contols, one on each side, you must have missed one. Pity you never reported the TV sound issue whilst you were here. All the TVs work perfectly and there are two remotes for each TV. We could have addressed this matter immediately had you let us know. We welcome feedback from all our guests, however it is near impossible to deal with issues after the fact.

The owners are an amazing couple from South Africa. They are super friendly and welcoming. The cabins and amenities were clean and tidy. My children loved the games equipment, outdoor pool table and glow worm dell. I highly recommend staying here 😁

Without a doubt the best camp ground we have ever stayed at, the most gorgeous native bush setting only a few minutes from the lake, spacious sites at very good prices. The facilities were spotless and the whole park was beautifully maintained. The owners really tipped the whole experience off, super friendly, helpful, accommodating and genuine, it’s a little but if paradise we are so happy to have discovered and now that we have we will most certainly be back as soon as we can. We honestly cannot recomend this place enough. You would be silly to miss it.

Stayed 3 nights in a cabin while visiting the area. Facilities were clean and well managed. Communal kitchen was well resourced with excellent seating and ability to watch tv while you cook. Grounds were well laid out with gardens well maintained. Owners very friendly and took an interest in what we were doing and providing local information.
