nice country pub with friendly staff open wood fire and clean surroundings. Family orientated with kids facilities in one of the bar areas. Good for families not so good if you want a quiet lunch . reminded me of the noise in macdonalds . Suggest partioning to shut out noise

We have visited the woodman inn on two occasions in the last month on a sunday. Both times we have been offered beef as the option for the roast and both times has been delicious. The amount of food is perfect and even the childs roast is great for our daughter (age 4). Although i am not one for a... More

Worth a stop! Great food and beer. There is a small, new museum to honor the American Air Force 398th Bomb Group of the Second World War. The pub is historic and the curators are very proud. Two war memorials and its nearby IWM Duxford American Air Museum.

This pub, if you can find it, offers everything that you would want from a traditional Country pub. It offers an authentic traditional interior with welcoming fireplace together with a fabulous extension suitable for large family dining. There is a great children's play area outside and a pool table Inside. The food is not pretentious or fussy, just good old... More

Good menu with quality produce. Venison was excellent as was the pork roast. Also: partner is a vegetarian and she certainly enjoyed the halloumi. Gods value and, as always, a good selection of well kept ales.

My wife and I stayed two nights at The Woodman and thoroughly enjoyed it. The price is reasonable, the food excellent, and the inn atmosphere very enjoyable. Stuart Johnson is an excellent host. The area abounds with history and provides a beautiful view of rural England. I highly recommend dining and staying there.

I stayed here with some friends and had a truly amazing time! Stu and Jenna were great and excellent with our children! The food was delicious! This is a family run business which is portrayed in its homely atmosphere and friendly approach by staff. We will definitely return again soon!
