Travelers' Choice
Situated in one of England’s prettiest villages, The Slaughters Manor House is a beautiful 17th Century manor house which combines contemporary interiors with country charm, attentive service and one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the Cotswolds. Spring 2016 saw the entire ground floor renovated to restore the character of the building, exposing and emphasising architectural details contrasted with a modern, vibrant interior design.

Our evening dining experience in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic, the food was simply Devine. For a vegetarian this is rare for me to be able to say about a hotel but the menu was compelling and didn’t leave me out with the usual boring single offer. Despite COVID-19 making things difficult for all, the staff at the hotel were so helpful and positive at a time when there is so much uncertainty. The entire experience for us was 5 star, what a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. I will be going again......

Hotel and grounds beautiful. Staff very friendly and professional. Restaurant food sublime. Breakfast excellent. Had slight issue with initial room but we were moved immediately. Would definitely stay again.

Good room, comfortable bed and very good food. But failed on detail. Fires in public rooms not lit on a very wintry day, same limited choice menu on both nights we stayed, and room clearly hadn't been "test-driven" by staff - nowhere with enough light to sit and read, and why is the nearest towel rail 4m away from the washbasin?

This was an afternoon tea for a special birthday that was much looked forward to. Unfortunately the whole experience was very disappointing. The hotel, staff and food did not live up to expectations for a hotel of good reputation. The welcome was not friendly and we were left to wait for a long time in the reception area (no seating) before being shown to our table, after our booked time. The table itself was grubby/stained as was my chair. We were not given a tea menu to choose from. The food was not plentiful and of average quality (scones were dry, sandwiches plain). We were not offered more of anything and when our teapots ran out I had to go in search of a waiter to ask for more. Overall the quality and experience did not live up to expectations and was nowhere near as good as afternoon teas had elsewhere of a similar price range. One positive - the location of the hotel is beautiful. Sorry to have to leave such a negative review :(
