The location is great and the hotel is just right for some peace and quiet in the English countryside and the very special village of Lower Slaughter. Our suite was "The Manor", which is very large and perfect for our family of five.

We dropped in to see if we could get a meal without a booking, and although the main dining room was full, we were given a table in the rather rustic dining room attached to the bar. The food was excellent - my wife had the plaice with fennel and leeks, whileI had the pork belly. Both dishes were thoroughly...

Wonderful location, very good food and service the room was quite basic for a hefty price tag of £230 a night. Staff need to tell you about the window safety system as key is on door key staff didn't know this room was very warm , it would be a rather uncomfortable nights sleep with just a little fan which...

I am pleased that you had a nice stay with us. Unfortunately due to the age of the building air conditioning is not possible, but at least with our quiet countryside location you can leave your windows open without the fear of noise. I hope we see you again soon Stuart

We booked into this hotel as the website gave the impression it is a lovely hotel. Indeed, the location is very nice and at £170 per night in a 5-star hotel, it seems a perfect place for a weekend. The first thing to note is that it is a 5 star inn not a 5 star hotel and you can...

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us, unfortunately not all of our rooms have fantastic views, our classic rooms are our cheapest room category for this reason, but are all well furnished, and perfect for a short stop over or for anyone who does not intend on spending to much time in the room. Best Regards...

I took my partner here for his birthday. As soon as we arrived they upgraded us. The reception staff were delightful. We had a snack lunch in the bar and both the service and food were excellent. The bedroom was lovely but quite dark. The hotel is in a beautiful typically English village setting and in the afternoon we had...

I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us I will look to review our booking policy of the bar tables with the team, but I am pleased that we were able to accommodate you for pre dinner drinks at our sister hotel, The Slaughters Manor House Best Regards Stuart

We stay 2 night at The Slaughters Country Inn. Food in the restaurant is very good, especially very fresh Fish and Chips. Hotel overall clean but missing standard amenities on 5 star hotel. Hotel is situated in very lovely location.

This hotel is in a beautiful location in one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds. Our room was spacious, clean and well furnished. Attention to every detail for the comfort of its guests is provided including top class toiletries and an iron and ironing board. We did not have an evening meal in the restaurant but can highly recommend...

Stayed here for one night on the way to Cambridge. It was a last minute booking so not sure what to expect. So glad we did. Beautiful setting, friendly attentive staff, gorgeous dinner in the bar and breakfast. Could not have been better. We will be back.

Experience of Slaughters Inn very poor value for money. Paid £170 for one night. Expected a lovely four star double room, but was extremely disappointed to be given a room which could only be classed as a large single with very little room to move. Hardly four star. Food quite overpriced

I am sorry that you did not think your stay with us was good value for money. Our prices do vary during the year and we are normally one of the most competitively priced hotels, in our idyllic location, for our rooms and our food and beverage offerings Regards Stuart
