Superb back drop being able to sit in the garden area. No need to book and there are plenty of tables so very little waiting time. Good choice of fish and meats at reasonable rates. Cannot fault the quality of the venue, food or the level of service. Well Done

Very cute old house in the middle of the British countryside. Price was very competitive and offers lots of value for the money. The room was big, very quiet and the bed was awesome. but the highlight of this place was the interaction with the very friendly staff. Ful english breakfast included in the price, that I was able to... More

A warm summers evening and we sat on the terrace over looking the lush grounds at Milsoms. It is a lovely relaxing atmosphere with the staff just attentive enough without being intrusive, that is a good art for staff who are mainly quite young. The menu is varied and good value, the food is very well presented and full of... More

Lovely building , helpful efficient staff. Food arrived fairly quickly and was very good. My only criticism was that my fish was swimming!! in too much buttery sauce. Also prawn dish was I felt overpriced. I would recommend lunch at milsons just for the lovely surroundings and staff.

This is one of my favourite places in Suffolk to dine and drink but the food has never been consistent.. We celebrated a birthday last night and had two courses & two non alcoholic drinks = £59.50. The service last night was spot on - we didnt need to move from our seats and the young waiter was very professional... More

We stayed here for three nights in July whilst visiting family. We were in room 20, one of the many rooms housed in outbuildings close to the main building. The room was spacious as was the bathroom, and stylishly decorated. Breakfast was top class as was the dinner menu. The hotel seems mainly geared up for weddings and corporate functions... More

What a really lovely venue. Set in wonderful surroundings, it had a real buzz about the place as a function was on going although not invasive to occasional diners. We came to celebrate our 44th Wedding Anniversary, a treat not to have to cook or hubby to do the washing up! Incredible food, very friendly waiting staff, the only draw... More

This is set in excellent surroundings and is highly rated. We were met by a pleasant waitress who was very good at her job but why does she feel the need to refer to customers in their 50s and 60s as "Guys." I don't particularly expect to be called "Sir" all the time but on a first visit "Guys" as... More

A superb joint venture between Milsom Hotels and Hills Group. The bistro restaurant has everything you would expect, inventive food alongside classics such as the delightful fish and chips, a buzzing but relaxed atmosphere and wonderful service from a friendly and professional team. Although you cannot book at Kesgrave Hall it is open all day! So you can arrive when you choose. The 'stay' part of eat, drink, stay (our milsoms mantra!) Could not be any more enjoyable. The Principal suites, whilst lavish and grand, are competitively priced and all bedrooms are beautifully designed and fully equipped with the very latest TVs and MP3 players.
