Selene Beach & Spa Hotel garners accolades for its impeccable cleanliness and high-quality amenities, with guests frequently noting the spotless rooms and range of entertainment options available. The service at this hotel is often described as outstanding, with staff going out of their way to ensure a warm and accommodating experience. Although the location receives mixed reviews and some guests mention disruptions due to noise, many find the adult-only policy contributes to a more peaceful stay. The rooms are well-liked for their modern touches and spaciousness. However, opinions on value are divided, with some praise for the spa and dining, counterbalanced by concerns over additional costs.

THE PROS:

The hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff are very welcoming, friendly and eager to help. The bar staff even remembered our orders each day.

The food has been lovely, quite varied and a large selection, and is available for the majority of the day.

There is a wide age range of guests and also a wide variety of nationalities here too.

There aren’t many flies around at all (think we saw less than half a dozen the whole time) which is a stark contrast to other hotels and areas we have been to.

The TUI rep (Sabrina) is very nice, friendly, knowledgeable about the area and really helpful.

The swim up rooms have their own sun loungers which are in the sun during the morning and in the shade by the afternoon.

THE CONS (things that annoyed me personally - each to their own and all that…):

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere - there isn’t anywhere to walk to and nothing to do around the outside of the hotel area itself unless you want to spend your holiday in a shop that sells “knock off” gear or food markets. There are a few roads round the hotel with lots of shops (with more shops off these roads) but nowhere else to walk to.

There is only one toaster at breakfast which you have to put the bread into multiple times to get it to toast and so there is often a queue for the toaster each day. There is room for more than one toaster on the counter so I’m unsure why there is only one.

The food (although delicious and very varied) is often not labelled on the island where all the salads and dips are, so you have no idea what the foods are or whether they contain certain allergens.

The music round the main pool area during the day can be quite loud at times so you can’t concentrate on reading or enjoy a snooze during those times.

The entertainment in the evening is far too loud and aimed more at the younger generation overall. Club (bump bump bump) music several times per week which is ridiculously loud. Thankfully the noise turns off at 11pm every night. If you have a sea view room you won’t get to sleep before 11pm unless you can sleep through loud noise. There is a group which does covers of songs a couple of times per week and they do the same songs each night they perform. Bring ear plugs and/or sleeping tablets if this would bother you.

Swim up rooms don’t have a full closing bathroom door to lock out sounds/smells of the toilet (see pictures), yet the rooms you pay less money for have full proper doors to the bathroom!!! There is a divider for the toilet but the door doesn’t reach the ceiling. There is also a window between the shower and the bedroom area so if you are going with a mate (rather than a spouse/partner) then you will get an eye full of each other naked in the shower. If either of these things would bother you, don’t book a swim up room and go for the standard room instead.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing such a detailed review of your experience at Selene hotel. We’re delighted that you found the hotel to be beautiful, clean, and welcoming, with attentive staff who even remembered your drink orders! It’s great to hear that you enjoyed the variety and availability of the food and appreciated the diverse range of guests. We understand that certain aspects of your stay could have been improved. The remote location of the hotel, the limited number of toasters at breakfast, and the lack of clear labeling for some food items are all valuable points for us to consider. We’ll also take note of your feedback regarding the loud music around the pool and during evening entertainment, as well as the layout of the swim-up rooms. Your input will help us make improvements for future guests. We hope despite these issues, you still had a pleasant holiday, and we appreciate you sharing both the pros and cons of your stay. Thank you again for your feedback! Best Regards,

We were lucky enough to be invited on holiday to Turkey for the first time. Reviewing all the information we could find it promised a great holiday (adults only).
8 days later and it was 5 stars from us. It was a late arrival from Antalya airport (3am) and we managed to find a chef who rustled up burgers. The pool bar we found out was 24 hrs. But we were too shattered to drink.
To all of the staff, they were extremely polite and helpful. Our house keeper for the 6th floor was always smiling and did everything she could to make our stay great.
We were on the top floor and husband was on crutches. Initially we were going to swap floors with our family on the 1st floor as some reviews slated the lifts. We maybes had one wait of 30secs our whole stay.
The whole hotel and grounds were smart and spotless.
Bars around the main pools, lobby and drinks with the meals, breakfast until 10.30am. Lunch 12, evening meal 7pm onwards.
A patisserie was available and was great. The pool bar was great for snack sized meals, not just chips, there was chicken curry, salads, bar snacks etc. waffles and ice creams, as well as refreshing cooler drinks.
Drinks and water are available all over the site.
Going all inclusive means you get an Al a Carte meal on the roof, a lovely treat.
Entertainment is on every night if you want to watch at the pool bar. We were happy in the reception bar area playing cards or doing our own quizzes. Lights get turned down at 11.30 pm with last orders at 12pm (lights are dimmed from 11.30pm)
Myself and my relatives booked sessions in the spa and the stress of work and family were forgotten as we tried all the treatments. The spa manager even gave us happy memory key rings to thank us.
Outside the hotel are very close by shops. There is a family hotel next door but the noise didn’t bother us at all. There’s also a small private beach.
The rooms and balcony were excellent another reference to hotel staff, wish we’d got the ladies name.
First experience of Turkey and couldn’t fault the hotel or staff.
Weather was 33 to 36 degrees during our stay.

Went for a week with the husband for our wedding anniversary. Had a really good time. Lovely welcome card, bottle of red and lovely fruit plate upon arrival to bedroom.
We felt very welcome by all staff and they made the experience really good. We had room 105 (swim up) which was impressive, really nice emerald pool and view off the balcony.
The cleaners made amazing designs with the sheets/towels and I enjoyed the surprise when coming into room when she had finished.

Food was really good although my husband thought it needed more meat on the menu as it was taken very quickly by guests. He is a big man that loves his protein. I did laugh at the fact staff were tight with the icecream (1 very small scoop in cone 😂😂😂) but other than that it was really nice, lovely different spreads of salads and deserts. (No description tho on these so it was really trial and error)

The coffee parlour/patisserie was just perfect!

When looking off the balcony from our private pool we were very happy we were not in the equation of hunting for sun loungers as the guests appeared ruthless with reserving them. They’re a lot of German/British guests. Don’t be put off tho as all guests kept to themselves and just enjoyed the experience of hotel.
Each night had something different and Amy was lovely making sure all guests were aware of the events and to feel welcome.

We noticed there was a lot of shops down the road, but we didn’t go as we didn’t want to be pestered. We went on adult only yacht excursion by temple of Apollo which was an amazing experience and there was a professional photographer on board that made amazing keepsakes.

Meet an Ink Point rep was in the hotel on day 2 of our holiday, didn’t expect it at all, and he was absolutely lovely. My husband and I had something done. My husband had a correction cover up sleeve done of his old tattoos which was absolutely out of this world! Please out their instagram page as they are absolutely amazing.

Over all an amazing holiday and we will be back!!!

Stayed at this hotel for 1 week with my husband and I just loved it so much, all the staff were so friendly and the animation team were so lovely, Amy and the new blonde girl were supper nice and very helpful with us. The beach party night was just amazing and all staff work very hard. The guy from the spa was amazing and prices were reasonable and I would 100% reccomend checking out the spa because the hot stone massage was incredible.

Food was really lovely, only down fall was it started to get repetitive with a lot of beef stew lol, still very nice food and something for everyone.

Pool area was always clean and tidy and the longers in the pool were just a added bonus.

If I had to suggest anything it would be maybe music around the pool but then again it's a chilled back place. We took a speaker and didn't use it out of respect for others who were reading books round the pool. Also around the pool bar they didn't do spirits just beers so it was a inconvenience having to dry off all the time to go inside for spirits. All alcohol was served in glasses and not plastic cups so that was great.

Snack bar was incredible with Turkish pizza pastas and burgers, they also don't waffles with different topping and ice cream that were so beautiful,

The beach was OK but it depends on what you want, it's only a little private beach and I understand why people get disappointed with it because its tiny and rocky but it is on a beach and the sea is still beautiful.

Please do not use the shop in the hotel for sweets and bags, I'm sorry I have to right this and I hope management sort this issue out but the only down fall to this hotel is that the man just charges what ever he wants in the market shop and we paid £20 for 4 items that was pop, chocolate, a lighter and Crisps and we went off to the shop down the road and we were charged hardly anything. He makes his prices up as he goes, and no prices on anything.

Gym definitely needs updating. But can get a small work out done.

We were told by tui that we would have a sea view room with a balcony and paid for this but when we arrived it wasn't sea view and we were told if we wanted to upgrade we had to pay a extra £100 by the male manager behind the desk. I thought this was disgusting so we just left it.

I would reccomend this hotel to anyone, if you are after a chilled holiday. I'm a ticktocker so if anyone would like to see my video, I have posted showing this hotel, and then my ticktock is kayls170

We have just arrived home from an amazing 7 night stay here and wow what a holiday we had worth every single penny and more. Having been to turkey over 14 times this was by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in from the cleanliness of the hotel down to the wonderful hard working staff we couldn’t find a single fault here. We booked a swim up room and would 100% recommend them, we loved being able to get up on a morning and lay on our own loungers on the terrace with a shared pool to use I would always pick this option for future trips. Our room was spotlessly cleaned every singe day by the incredibly hard working maids who always left us amazing towel art. The snack bar for lunch was an amazing concept being able to pick food from a menu which is cooked and served to you fresh massive shout out to Melih the snack bar and resturant captain who was absolutely incredible with every single guest his politeness and knowledge were second do none and based on our experience from him alone would bring us back to this hotel thank u Melih for making our stay fun. The main pool had a range of activities throughout the day and had a gorgeous chilled vibe all day with some banging chilled music to match we loved this 🙌🏻 the evening entertainment was good and the pool party concept was brilliant our favourite night by far. Breakfast was nice and the freshly cooked omelettes are a must 👌🏻 again big shout out to our waiter we had most breakfast and evening meal times vakkas, the most polite hard working young man who never skipped a beat in his outstanding customer service to us he really is a credit to your hotel 🤩. The only small thing we struggled with was the evening meal food choice it was a little bit all over the place with no concept but we are fussy eaters and have to remember we are not in the uk but we however did not go hungry and there was always something we could eat. The cocktail menu is huge and we enjoyed quite a few from the menu 😛. The weather was very hot but the aircon in the rooms was outstanding so never felt uncomfy at night. Overall we had the best holiday and didn’t want to leave 😔 we are already looking to book for next year and we will do 10 nights this time we loved it that much, so thank you for a wonderful stay Selene beach you have nailed the adults only concept and experience which was perfect for us 👌🏻 see you next year.

We were at the hotel at the end of October, the weather was just super sea 27 degrees, 30 outside. We were given room 202 on the second floor, view from the room of the sea and a beautiful sunset. The room has a large soft bed, there is even a mini kitchen, the refrigerator has water, cola, sparkling water, replenished every day, and there are tea supplies. They cleaned and changed the towel only upon request. The food was always very tasty and varied. We were satisfied with our vacation.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at the remarkable Selene Hotel. I’ll say right away that this hotel may not be suitable for everyone.

This hotel is not ideal for:

People who don’t speak English,
Those looking to party,
Those who want a loud atmosphere, as the hotel prioritizes guest tranquility.
However, it is perfect for:

People seeking peace and quiet,
Those looking for quality over quantity.
Regarding quality and variety, this applies primarily to the food. You won’t find the extensive selection typical of larger luxury hotels, but the food here is definitely fresh and of high quality, with efforts made daily to surprise guests with something new. The grill area is excellent, serving everything up to steaks.

The hotel is beautifully designed in calm tones, with a well-maintained, tastefully arranged property in serene gray and neutral hues rather than bright colors. Although the grounds are small, there’s a lot of greenery, trees, and flowers. Rooms are decorated in calm tones; the furniture has a few scratches but overall, everything functions well.

Housekeeping deserves a solid 10 out of 10, with towels and animal-shaped figures arranged daily.

Around the hotel, there are plenty of shops, including Waikiki within walking distance, with reasonable prices.

The hotel service is of a very high standard. The restaurants and bars are staffed by wonderful young people, though few speak Russian. However, if any issues arise, you can approach Guest Relations, where lovely ladies are available to assist.

Would we return? We love exploring different places and don’t often go back to the same spot, but this hotel would definitely be worth a return visit.
my Selene love...

The hotel far exceeded our expectations. Incredibly clean and fresh everywhere. Our room was impeccably cleaned, and every day there were new pieces of art, made from towels, on the bed. We had a room towards the back, so we thought we would be disturbed by traffic noise at night, but when you closed the balcony door it was dead quiet.
The food was great. The buffet had a large selection of very good dishes. The dessert table as well. One evening we had booked a table at the Selene Vip Lounge. It was really good, and with a lovely view.
The pool area was nicely cleaned at all times, and we never had a problem getting sunbeds. There were three bars near the pool, where good drinks were served by friendly and cheerful staff. The snack bar served light lunch dishes, also very well prepared. Towards the afternoon you could also get freshly baked waffles with ice cream there.
We swam a few times in the small bay just below the hotel. It's a pebble beach, so it's a bit awkward to walk in, but it worked.
So all in all, we are very happy with our holiday week at the hotel.
Can warmly recommend this hotel.
Greetings to the couple in room 219, May 1-8, 2024

We would like to thank the entire team at Selene Beach for our wonderful holiday. We didn't miss anything. Our room 221 was very comfortable and big enough. The daily cleaning was excellent. The guys and girls from the service were very nice and friendly, we would especially like to mention our waiter Yasin, who was always in a good mood and always on the ball. The food was very good and plentiful, if you can't find anything there you'll have to stay at home. The only criticism is the beach. Not even the size bothered us, you can always find sunbeds thanks to the hardworking men on the beach. But we think that the hotel could do something for its guests and remove the large stones and slabs from the water, hence points deducted. We can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience, we really liked it

Our week at Selene Beach & Spa resort has been a true holiday with not a single thing to worry about. The hotel offers you every thing you might need for complete relaxation.

The restaurant had more food variants than we could ever imagine – all fresh and delicious, from fresh salads to an array of cakes and pastries.

At the many bars we found Tuborg and Carslberg beers as well as Guiness and even Weisbier alongside a huge assortment of cocktails, wines and even champaigne!

The beach was a stone throw away and the water there was like warm tea (Last week of September). We almost always fond a place to lay, but on one occasion there were no available beds, but the staff quickly found a solution.

Room service was outstanding, visiting our room every day, leaving cute swans and puppies made of towels. The room itself was clean and AC worked but the shower drained rather slowly.

All the people we interacted with during our stay were extremely kind, helpful, and made us feel like we were visiting a close friend. Almost everyone spoke either English, German or Russian.

The hotel has many events happening all the time form live music and karaoke to even an olive festival where we got to pick olives from the trees in the garden.
All-in-all this was a perfect holiday for us. We highly recommend!

Dear Sharon R, We are glad that you have chosen our hotel for your holiday. There are air conditioners in the lobby, in the closed part of the restaurant and coffee shop. In the open areas such as the snack bar there are fans. Best Regards, Selene Beach&Spa Hotel Team
