We paid an extra 100 euros per week at reception to upgrade to a 2 bed family unit which is cheaper than buying it upfront.
Rooms are clean and have a TV with a few English channels. The aircon is great!! The wifi only works in reception and on the island which is a strip of land on the beach with pools and waterslides. You have to walk under the highway to get there.
The slides and pools are great and the kids spent a lot of time here. The sea is pretty murky as they pump sand to create breakers for the waves. There are loungers at the pools and in the beach and we never struggled to find a seat (perhaps as the resort was emptier this year).
Most free entertainment was not running “because of COVID” but all paid for stuff was running which I thought was rather cheeky. There is always an opportunity for someone to try and sell you something here!
We did the Turkish Bath at the spa which is well worth it. Lovely experience! Even the kids enjoyed it.
Free drinks are limited to vodka, gin, wine, beer, cool drinks, and water. Cocktails are around 7 euros each - a complete rip off. Free ice cream is served between 14:00 and 16:00 5 days a week.
The food is not amazing and quite repetitive. Mainly beef and chicken dishes, salads, pastas, breads and fruits for lunch and dinner. The desserts are impressive. Breakfast is hot dog sausages, eggs, bread, cold meat, cheese, salad and fruit.
The shops on site and across the road at the Bazaar are very expensive but there is a market at the back of the resort every Sunday which has some cheap stuff. We also ate at the “pub” at the bazaar on the first night as dinner was closed when we arrived. It was very expensive and not great quality.
If you are looking for an ATM there is one across the road at the Bazaar that does free cash withdrawals. We found the ATM’s in town all charge you to withdraw.
Remember that all tours and other purchases are negotiable here. Everything is worth bargaining for!
We hired a car which was great as we got to see Alanya, Side and Antalya as well. Some lovely beaches in the area too. There is free parking in a piece of land at the entrance to the resort.
COVID wise, all the staff wear masks and gloves but the patrons are not forced to. Some people get too close for my liking! All buffet food is behind barriers and served to you. Your temperature is taken at dinner every evening.
The transfer was long but we knew that anyway.
When we arrived, all thirsty, we were shocked to see no welcome drinks! My partner walked out to the bar and was told 'no drinks available'. He explained our children were really thirsty and he reluctantly gave us two drinks.
Check in was quite quick. We were shown to our room. Only 3 beds made up so the porter arranged for the 4th he'd to be made up, thankfully this was done quickly as we all wanted to go to sleep!
The next day, we went for breakfast and then an explore of the hotel and island. First impressions were good.
Food: we didn't mind it at all. We always found something to eat. The island snacks were all good as well and the cakes each day were lovely.
The queues in the restaurant are long but it's because now due to covid the staff have to serve you. They don't give much either, resulting in you asking for more or going up 2 or 3 times!
I always had freshly squeezed orange juice every morning, it cost €1 but I didn't mind as it was nice.
We tipped our waiter a few euros and then every day he got our drinks for us! Very friendly and nice staff everywhere.
The pools on the island are fabulous, the kids loved them. We always found sunbeds but had to hunt for an umbrella but eventually we would get one.
Pools at the village were good. We mostly went to the slides one. The snack bar here was good. Loved the pizza!
Yes you do have to pay for certain things but if you didn't want to, there was plenty of food and drinks included.
We bought a milkshake on the island one time, really cheap and tasty!
We also bought the kids ice creams one evening and the guy was super funny!
The children also done the zip line and the adventure climbing thing. Both fantastic and lovely people who run it. Helping our 4 year old around it all! Thank you.
Overall we enjoyed our stay!
Rooms, basic but clean and the beds are comfortable.
Food, always something to eat and I'm fussy!
Snack bars, very good!
Drinks, small included selection, but perfectly okay!
Not much to do outside the hotel but we didn't want to venture out. We did eat out twice at Oscars and also went to the market on the Sunday, great bargains to be had!
We enjoyed the break and after this year it was lovely to get away!
Thank you Eftalia Village 😊
All in all this is a fab place with lots to do to enjoy your holiday.
I look forward to returning in June 2022 for 2 weeks with my children .
I am writing to lodge a complaint about our recent holiday.
We originally booked Eftalia Village through yourselves but received an email from you to say that the Village wasn’t open so we had been moved to the Eftalia Ocean at no extra charge to ourselves. This was the last lot of paperwork we received and our booking Online still says this hotel too. We arrived at the Ocean reception at 1am after a long day travelling with 2 young children, only to find that they would not let us stay there without paying a considerable amount to upgrade!! They said the village was now open so we had to stay there. We were take to the village reception where there was no food or drink available, we were all hungry as we thought we were going to a hotel with a 24 hr burger bar! The staff were very unhelpful in getting us any food or drinks and told us we would have to wait till the morning. We were taken to our rooms where there were only 2 bottles of water in the fridge! Our rooms were AWFUL! It honestly looked as though this hotel had just been re-opened after lockdown without being cleaned at all, it was now gone 3 am so we begrudgingly went to sleep. On waking we noticed how bad the rooms really were, there were bugs crawling all over our bags and beds, the toilet seat was filthy and the towels stunk, we went to reception to see the rep or guest relation person to get moved, we were palmed off from one person to another then they said we could pay £100 to move rooms, we went to look at the room but it was still not up to standard so we declined, We tried again to show them our booking paperwork which stated Eftalia Ocean but they were very rude and unhelpful, after 2 hours waiting in reception to no avail I said there was NO way I was staying in that room another night, it was filthy, our children were upset and did not want to go back to that room. Eventually they came and said there was no room at the ocean but we could pay £375 to upgrade to the Eftalia Marin! It felt as though they were ripping us off but we had no choice as they were not going to help us in any way. We paid up and were taken to the Marin where it looked much better, the rooms were clean and the children were happy, we carried on our holiday but throughout the staff were shockingly rude! I feel you need to know this before recommending this hotel to any future customers! There is NO WAY we will be staying here again, all inclusive is not really all inclusive but that was the least of our worries! I could go on and on!! The staff advised us to contact you as it was your fault not advising us that the village was open again but understandably you are very busy and we could not get through on the phone so we decided to make the most of it and try and sort it when we got home.
On advising us of the hotel change you did advise us that it would be at no extra cost to ourselves when it has actually cost us £417.39 (they advised us it would be £375 but on checking out bank they had taken out £417.39)

Good points
Clean bed sheets and towels changed everyday
Very clean around the pools
The island was really good with plenty to do
Downside
The all inclusive food was very basic and served the same food everyday
Only beer vodka wine or whiskey are on the all inclusive drinks cocktails chargeable 6 euro (100 lira)
Ice creams only served 2pm till 4pm
Reception will only call one taxi company (30 euro, 460 lira) to get into Alanya we found a taxi firm that charged 275 lira 15euro but they refused to call them.
When arriving to the hotel we were asked if we wanted a room upgrade to another hotel which was next door for £300 per room. The rooms advertised are the rooms in that hotel. Slightly bigger more modern, bigger balcony and has a kettle.
There is plenty to do at the hotel but wouldn’t be stopping here again as we like to be closer to the resort centre and were put off by the lack of choice for food and drink.
Would highly recommend going into Alanya and going on the cable cars to the castle, shopping is also a must and kleopatra beach!
We travelled as a family and requested 2 rooms together and were given 2 rooms 2 blocks apart and were advised no other rooms were available unless we came back to reception the next day at lunchtime so stayed where we were and used the phone in the room to call the other room number to arrange meet up times etc.
You can hire a safe for 2 euro a day and you get 5 euro back when you return the magnet at the end of your stay and it's well worth it as my daughter left her beach bag that was closed on the balcony to dry and the 8 euro in change she had in her purse was taken by the cleaner.
The rooms were cleaned daily but they lost their tip by doing this.
The food is very repetitive but it was ok, what you would expect for a 3 star all inclusive in turkey. No British tea only Turkish so take some t bags with you if you like a proper brew.
Evening meal is advertised to start at 7pm but they do open the doors at 20 to and I'd recommend being there as its bedlam and you have quite a wait to get food and find a table.
The beach is lovely and again get there early to get a sunbed.
Take pool shoes especially for kids as the pool areas are slippery but most of all, the floors are scalding hot by midday.
While on the beach we were approached by a pirate boat trip and it was well worth it as they provided a brilliant experience for 100 pounds for 5 people. The foam party at the end was brilliant.
Take all euros as everything is priced up that way now. They will take lira and English pound as well tho.
Check out is 12pm but there is a luggage room so you can leave your cases and your wrist band isnt taken off you so you can have food and drink up until you leave.
Staff were ok, not over friendly. You will be offered a spa Turkish bath, photo session and a tattoo on a daily basis. The spa does have free pool towels which can be collected every day after 8.30 if you drop dirty ones off by 7pm but we kept ours a couple of days and dried on the balcony.
Each room block is over 3 floors and named after a fruit. About 15 rooms per floor. Can be a bit noisy if guests come back later as the landing echoes a bit. The rooms are spacious with air con and a TV that has a few English channels.
Overall we had a lovely time and would go to Eftalia Village again.
Supposed to be 5 star, this is not even 3!
Tiny room. Smelly. Nowhere near the amenities. Nowhere near enough sun beds or shades.
Food is same c**p each day.
Only drinks included are cheap beer and nasty wine, some soft drinks, not juice though!
if you want a nice G&T or anything else you have to pay €6/7 each even after paying for so called all inclusive 😡😡😡
Food and drink only at certain times. Ice creams only for two hours per day. Pâtisserie only 2 hrs per day.
This is a second rate max 3 star full board with no extras for the price of 5 star all inclusive.
No food at all between 4&7.
This is nothing like the hotel we originally booked and we are absolutely gutted having to be in this hovel. Wish we had been given a choice when OTB changed our hotel at the last minute. Been told if we want to change then we have to pay extra. We were charged for a sea view, then a pool view and we have a view of the rooms opposite 😡
Beaches are appalling at best.
Do not bother. Go elsewhere.
