Detailed Reviews
I stayed here for a night as I was cycling through. Roland and Carrie welcomed me warmly and provided a nice clean room with an en-suite bathroom. We had some great chats about his travels and work around the world. They offered delicious food and went out of their way to make sure I was happy and comfortable. Fantastic hospitality and I would return again!

I much enjoyed my stay here on a journey through southern Alberta recently. The place is bright, clean, and well-kept. In the evening, Roland shared some home-brewed beer and home-made cheese over a very interesting chat about living and teaching school overseas among other subjects. After an ample breakfast of juice, yogurt, muesli, homemade bread and muffin, and coffee I was set until dinner. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality.

Set in a quiet street of Nanton is this beautiful welcoming house. I felt very comfortable in the nicely decorated room of "Summer". The breakfast was delicious and home made. Not to mention the bread that Carrie bake everyday for the people staying over. There is plenty of space in the house and the kitchen is massive. They are both very welcoming and I definitely would stay at this B&B again in the future. If you decide to stop by I can assure you you would get the rest and the experience you need.

Beautiful home away from home. Individual styled rooms with very comfortable beds, a great shower and fast internet. On top of that Carrie provides delicious healthy breakfast with freshly homemade bread! It couldn't get any better! We stayed at the Changing Seasons Bed & Breakfast on our bicycle trip down from the marvelous Icefield Parkways in Banff National Park along the Cowboy Highway down to Glacier National Park. Our stay at the Changing Seasons B&B provided us with the rest we needed to continue. It was especially nice to stay at a place where the owners know the needs of cyclists, as the owners have been touring themselves in the past. We can highly recommend to stop and enjoy a rest at this beautiful B&B. We would go back anytime.

We stated there when were in town for a wedding. The place is set up nice but if you are wanting air conditioning you better look else where. The beds are comfortable. It has showers in the rooms but no bath tubs. There was a large breakfast served in the morning. It was ok for a bed and breakfast.

We are under new ownership and appreciate your feedback. We have made a few changes including providing fans and circulating cool basement air through the room vents. Despite the warm weather, guests have complimented us on the cool rooms.

I've now stayed at the Changing Seasons twice in the last few weeks. Linda (the owner) is a wonderfully friendly and upbeat host. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and have private washrooms/showers. Linda is an excellent cook, and breakfast was both delicious and generous.
Would gladly stay at The Changing Seasons again next time I'm in Nanton.

On February 7th, 2020 my aunt and I attended Changing Seasons Bed and Breakfast for the cheese workshops and to enjoy a girls weekend. Our experience was far below the standard we expected. Good thing I checked in with the hosts prior to our arrival as they had forgotten our stay (despite the fact that it is low season and there were no other guests).
Our rooms looked clean and tidy with a made bed; however, evidence in the washroom (toilet interior, base of toilet and shower) told me that it had not been cleaned prior to my arrival and was not guest ready.
We paid extra for a breakfast since the owners matched the price we would have paid at a hotel to have two beds. My aunt is celiac so prior to booking the breakfasts I asked what was provided. The breakfast was described as follows, “We do all our own baking and will make sure we have wheat free options available. Our eggs are straight from the family farm and are part of our warm breakfasts”. The breakfast was continental minus the warm portion of the breakfast which consisted of eggs (which we had to request). There was nothing else supplied as part of the warm breakfast and the first night there was no fresh baked goods. Fresh bread was available the second breakfast of our stay. The sad breakfast provided was a little surprising given the lovely chili and rice we had for lunch during our course (which was delicious).
The cleanliness of kitchenette in the basement was not to a standard suitable for preparing any foods. There was no sanitization of the work space and food safety was not a consideration. A dirty dish rag, dish towel and scrubby were stationed by the sink and had been there for some time based on the odour. I had to request clean dish clothes and soap to clean the area and keep our stations cleaned. I won’t get into the specifics of some of the other nasty things we observed as it would turn your stomach and cause great embarrassment to Roland which he may not recover from. I have spoken with him about our concerns and suggested that he is not suitable to teach a cheese making course at this time until he gains enough knowledge to be an expert in his field and more importantly takes a food safety course.
Our stay was not the pleasant stay we had prepared for and seems to have varied greatly from the other reviews I have read for this property. It was nice to see that our feedback was welcomed and there are immediate plans to implement our suggestions. The owners made up for the stay and acknowledged their shortcomings. They seem like nice people who are still finding their footing in the Bed and Breakfast business.
If some changes are made this could be a great location for a ladies retreat (scrapbooking or quilting) as the space in the basement is PERFECT for it (large work space with several tables for a group to work, sitting area, and kitchenette); for people passing through on the way for a guys outdoor adventure weekend; or for a stop on the way to another destination. Without renovations the current location (basement kitchenette) is not suitable for making cheese or preparing other foods.
If you plan to stay here I would ask in advance specifically what will be provided for breakfast. Hopefully they will take into consideration what you would like and if you’re lucky maybe Carrie will whip you up a delicious treat. Check your room to be sure it was prepared for your stay. If cheese courses continue to be offered I would ask about what renovations have been done to make it ready for food preparation, check for qualifications Roland has obtained and be sure that he has taken a food safety course. I see potential in this location to be a nice Bed and Breakfast for hobby retreats (not cooking). Hopefully some positive changes will be made and the next review will rate higher.

A lovely place to stay if you like to have a good conversation with this interesting coupple who lived in Germany for several years.
If you come from Europe it is a real suprise and pleasure to find an address in Alberta where they make all kinds of cheese and beer themselves, just for the guests.
The lady of the house also bakes her own bread, muffins,...

What amazing hospitality!! Owner and their family are very kind and friendly. I supposed to stay there for a night, but it was too cozy to leave and I stayed two nights. I stayed a private very clean room named “autumn” and the bed was toooooo comfortable. The owner offered to have home-made beer and cheese, those were excellent! Home made breakfast was also awesome. The place is located away from big street so it was so quiet around there. I felt like home and could relax well. I highly recommend to stay there if you come to Nanton.

Had a wonderful stay at changing seasons. Traveled as a group to a wedding and were very lucky to find this hidden gem. Wonderful rooms, great location, gracious hosts and all you could ask for and more at breakfast.
