We were lucky to come across this very characterful and delightful posada on our car tour of northen Spain. Miguel and Inma have paid great attention to the authentic restoration of this traditional Spanish residence which is just situated off the main town square. Although it was the weekend of the Fiesta we slept well and did not experience any... More

Lovely charming place and people, Miguel the owner very helpful speaking good English. Very central, need to stay a couple of days next time. Nice meal cooked by Inma, Miguel's wife. The town is medieval with a castle and many old churches. The country side is very scenic.

I organised a trip for Landrover owners. I choosed to let my guests stay at Posada la Pastora. We were warmly welcomed amd my guests loved the authentic ambiance. People were pleasantly surprised by the rooms and how well everything was taken care of. Uncastillo itself is a beautful and lovely little town. It is perfectly situated for a holiday.... More

Welcoming and helpful hosts. Excellent breakfast, one of the best we have had in Spain. The room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Good position in the town with near by car parking. The town had a few restaurants and bars. We would certainly stay at Posada La Postora if we were in that area again

The hotel is right in the old centre of Uncastillo a very picturesque location but almost impossible to find without getting out the car. This was absolutely no problem as the owner was stood near the village square waiting to guide us in and gave us a very warm welcome. We only stayed one night but would have like to... More

Our hosts could not have been more helpful. Posado was all we expected and more. A poetry book on my bedside table, candles in the bedroom and homemade jam. Perfecto. A great clean municipal pool nearby. Unicastillo is remote but this makes up a lot of its charm. Enjoy a total change from your usual urban day to day.

Maybe on summer the municipal pool is one of the appeals of Uncastillo, of course. Thank so much to help us to promote our charming village. Best regards, Inma & Miguel More

A truly enjoyable 2 night stay in excellent accommodation in this delightful medieval town. Inma and Miguel are charming hosts and Miguel is a fount of knowledge. The dinners were first class. Concha the chef is a magician - her food is amazing. Top quality local produce with unusual combinations. We will be back!

Pleasant and homely place to stay although not cheap. Helpful owner and charming wife. Sitting area and breakfast area nice, room comfortable with air-con. Breakfast is extra, check when you book. Umcastillo is very quiet and quite difficult to visit things.

This hotel is in the heart of Uncastillo in a sensitively rebuilt house that retains the village character. It is a delightful place and one that I will remember when I am staying in the pleasant but sterile hotels that are so common. The attention to detail and your comfort are of an exceptional level. The building stays cool thanks... More

We found this in 'Alastair Sawday's places to visit in Spain'. In Castillo is quiet so not for those who want a frenetic nightlife. There are a couple of excellent bars. The hotel is beautiful and the hosts were charming. The day we arrived was the first day they were offering evening meals for guests. Brilliant. The hotel is quiet... More
