What an amazing spot to get away. Surrounded by deep blue waters and staff full of smiles, they made our stay relaxing yet energizing. Would recommend for a quiet getaway to align mind, soul and body. Cheers!

This is a family owned hotel but it lacked the personal interest and investment you would hope for at a family run hotel. The owner had little or no interest in the guests and was downright rude and accused me of lying when we did complain. I stayed here for a week as part of a yoga week with a group of 10 in September 2019 at low season, we noted just three other guests whilst we stayed so they had the capacity to deliver an exceptional and attentive service. But alas, the experience was far from even good. Every morning the shower (in all our rooms) were cold. Despite repeatedly reporting this to reception, it was not rectified. Breakfast choices were very limited (the same two fruit types, two cereals, two pastries etc etc, cold omelette, cold bacon, cold fried eggs) Dinner was even worse. The food and presentation was disappointing. Limited choice. Pasta on 3 nights. The same fruit (as breakfast time) or a scoop of ice cream was presented for dessert. They were completely at a loss when asked for a vegetarian meal for two persons. The service was always slow. Lacked creativity and variety for the evening meals.

We stayed in August. It is for sure the best hotel on the island. It is newly renovated the rooms are spacious the location is magic and the atmosphere is great. What also made a great impression was how helpful and friendly the staff is . The food in the restaurant was the best every single night. Welldone definitely recommend highly!!!

The rocky headland provides a stunning setting to mull over with a relaxing drink ...or you can take the plunge in the crystal clear water and snorkel up to one of the many colourful critters.....or lovely friendly recidivist guests! What an eclectic bunch they are! They come from all over the US and Europe - some annually since Apollo was built in the 70’s. A few makeovers later tho’ it still retains its old charms. The staff were wonderful people that delivered services professionally, promptly and with genuine care. The restaurant was spartan but great food at reasonable prices. The small town of Agi Marina is 10 mins walk away and encapsulates ‘old Greek lifestyle’ and a charm not readily found in other tourist destinations. My wife and I developed a taste for sharing Ouzo over a seafood beach meal at sunset - magic! Locals and visitors alike were so friendly.....it made our holiday so much more special. Now I must mention that their are many historical sites nearby that beckon your attention and some deep reflection on life itself. So in conclusion - Apollo’s facilities are a bit dated but I would cheerfully go back their for months if I could - as the overall experience we derived was very unexpected and uniquely authentic old style Greek.
