Make sure you obtain anti-happiness cream factor 40 or superior from your tax inspector before checking in, otherwise you will be for sure infected by the virus of "acute happinitis", a most desirable and seldom fatal illnewss of unpredictible consequences. Early symptoms include an increasing hypertrofy of the facial muscles associated with the smile, sudden incapability to remember the face of your boss, and uncontrollable urges to make a fool of yourself trying to speak greek. Avoid exposure to the lovelly couple running the hotel or more serious and posibly unreversable symptoms might set in. General love for live, and previously unobserved dancing skills have been described. That will be your last warning; try to run away to your previous residence, and a few months of deep sighing might restore you to suburban mediocrity.

We stayed at this hotel and we have a great experience .The owners, Costas and Anastasia made us feel like we are the most important persons in the world .The room was clean and we have unlimited sea view ,also the breakfast was rich and fresh with large sortiments for choose.
The hotel is located in the centre of Agia Marina where you can find supermarkets ,bakery , and beautiful tavernas ,and at 2 minutes the sandy beach with sunbeds and umbrellas.Best choice in Agia Marina.

We stayed a week at this hotel and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The hotel itself is full of old world charm and we really felt at home. The staff are so friendly and helpful and always had time to chat and give helpful advice whenever required. The buffet breakfast is included in price and is a great start to the day. We had a lovely seaview and were right beside the beach and all amenities. I fully recommend this hotel and we hope to return shortly for more relaxation, sunshine and friendly faces.

I have been for many years on this hotel when costas and anastasia were hosts. Then it was fantastic! The service great and very nice people. Now its changed. The owners of the hotel is also in charge on a daily basis. The service is not so good. The rooms are more dirty and they do not change towels regularly. The breakfast is not as good as before. Overall the service and the hygienic conditions has gone down. I really hope they will change this! The location is fantastic so the hotel has great potential! But the place agia maria has lost much of its tourists due to the lack of airport. so much of the people coming here are greeks on weekends and occasional
tourists from scandinavia/europe. The greeks have difficult times so the place are a bit ghost town.
But the place has its potential many nice tavernas on the beach and pita tom. The beach is great, the island is beautiful with many nice sights

Very old and unclean building, fortunately we stayed only for one night. We booked a three-bed discount room on the ground floor, which was a total disaster. Rusty facilities in the bathroom, blood (!) on my towel, a used towel forgotten in the wardrobe, mould in the picture frames on the wall, no mattress protector, broken floor tiles... The breakfast was terrible (dirty glasses and cups, traces of leftovers in the food and coffee), random things were left on the common table in the corridor (shoes, toilet paper etc) and it goes on. One of the two hotel owners was rude and unhelpful, the other one was friendly but misleading. Totally unjustified prices -not talking about the discount we got but for the original prices- for such facilities and service.

Really well run with very friendly owners and staff alike. They gave us a really enjoyable stay, nothing was too much trouble.
The staff were always helping and full of advice on good places to go and other useful tips.
It has easy access to the beach and lots of shops as well.
The rooms have recently been refurbished, very clean and comfortable and bigger than most other hotel rooms I have stayed in previously in the Greek islands. Air conditioned too.
They also supplied us with anything we could have needed and the Breakfast had ample choices.
No idea why the previous reviewer complained about the mosquitoes - maybe they should go on holiday somewhere there are none - like England, along with English weather! In any case, the staff supplied plug in mosquito mats in each room.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing beach holiday.

We (family of four) took a break from Athens to spend a few days on Aegina and decided on this hotel as it has excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. We weren't disappointed! Kostas and Anastacia - who manage the hotel - were extremely friendly. We spent many happy hours chatting in the evenings over a glass of ouzo or two (or three.....).
Being a two-star, the hotel is simple, but don't let that put you off. The rooms are a reasonable size, with balconies, air-con and good/free wi-fi. Everything (including beach) is a few minutes walk away. We felt totally relaxed and at home - a lot more relaxed than the 5* hotel we were staying in in Athens. In fact, we only intended staying four nights but extended by another two. We would definitely recommend this hotel - friendly, pleasant, comfortable and excellent value for money.

For what you pay is way too good and the price is so low that guests should not be that demanding.
My son and his wife spent one night here because they came to the island quite late.

STAFF: Polite.
CLEANLINESS: Average.
LOCATION: Good. Several restaurants and taverns close by.

IN ALL: Recommended for a short stay.

Having stayed there in 2012 and was absolutely delighted with the hotel and Costas and Anastasia, I have to advise that they are no longer there unfortunately ! As they had only leased the hotel from the owners.
I spoke with the current management of the hotel earlier this year and they told me that the rooms had been refurbished but not the bathrooms
It is interesting to note that all the reviews up to 2012 give glowing reports of the then management and the superb buffet breakfast etc but since the beginning of this year things seem to have deteriorated particularly with the breakfast !

However it is a great value hotel with its superb location and great views ...we stayed in room 15 on the top floor which is on a corner and has the advantage of two balconies !

It is important to remember it is a budget hotel and represents great value ! In a superb location with stunning views .....So what if the breakfast is not as good as it used to be..that is not important but what is is the overall picture....there are always people who will look for problems ie mosquitoes ! Personally I really cannot be bothered to actually count them ! They exist everywhere ,so live with it !
Would I stay there again ? Definately ! Costas and Anastasia are no longer there but that does not make it a bad place to stay ! Go for it ! I don't think that you will regret it as it has so much going for it ! Concentrate on that !
