We booked this hotel almost by accident. This was to be our starting point for 2 weeks of island hopping. We managed to get a ferry from the Greek mainland into the marina. The hotel is fairly basic but extremely clean and tidy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. We liked it so much we booked for a couple of extra nights prior to our return to the mainland.
Excellent service, very polite staff, new bed sheets every day. More than satisfactory for the price. Located very close to the beach as well as the centre of the town and only a stone's throw away from a mini market to cover all your needs.
We spent 1 week at the hotel and it was a fantastic week. Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were very clean, the view is breathtaking. Couldn't be closer to the beach definetily would recommend and go again.
For what you pay is way too good and the price is so low that guests should not be that demanding. My son and his wife spent one night here because they came to the island quite late. STAFF: Polite. CLEANLINESS: Average. LOCATION: Good. Several restaurants and taverns close by. IN ALL: Recommended for a short stay.
For about 15 euro each per night, we had a clean, quiet double room, plus breakfast (continental- good coffee...) and 30 seconds walk from a gorgeous beach and very nice bars/tavernas. A really lovely resort, mainly populated by Greek people, friendly and polite. Really relaxing break, wish we could have stayed longer - excellent value for money in terms of eating out/drinks/souvenirs. Examples: beer = 3.50, (Kahlua for good music or Obsession for fab cocktails and chat...) ...great gyros (Pita Tom!) for £2.50 ... or posh dinner on the beach -literally (Paradise - 2 courses + wine for around 20 euro..) I didn't want to go home. Balcony had a good view of the sea, although the awning didn't go up, but again the beach is across the street. Full credit to the girl on reception - she was lovely. OK it's not a 5* hotel (at 5 or 10 times the price!) but there is much to commend here - clean, friendly and safe, right beside a stunning beach and a 1 hr boat to Athens. Hope to return soon and stay a little longer next time to see the monastery and ruins etc. :o) Dining tips: oasis, Theodore's, Paradise (try the fish daily special) and the blue and white taverna opposite this hotel on left, offering tables on the rocks - try the moussaka... and Pita Tom ('the strip') for gyros- only minor negative was 'drunken shrimp' which overcharged us by about 6 euro for 2 items never received and then argued/denied (this can happen anywhere I guess) ....otherwise a brilliant few days- Yammas!…
