Stayed here for Business two times during August. The number 11 tram is right outside hotel so very convenient for work especially when hotel provides a free ticket during your stay. Preferred this to commuting to centre of Basel. During my one August stay the temperatures were around 38-40c so extremely warm in the rooms and with no aircon and...

Ate in the restaurant with some colleagues. My first impression was how empty it was! Not very busy at all which is usually not a great sign. Fortunately that view was proved wrong. The food was pretty good, and the service average.

First visit to Switzerland, so not sure what the standard is in small family run hotel.. My first impression was that the receptionist was helpful and dealt with us very quickly. My room was pleasant and clean, overlooking the rear of the property (No 107), but I was disappointed not to have any tea making facilities, also no iron to...

When I was working for IBM in Switzerland I need somewhere to stay while I was looking for an apartment. I stayed here for a couple of months. The rooms were always ready on time. Always clean and comfortable. The staff were as helpful as can be and the food was always good, my favourite being the Zurich schnitzel with...

Super small family Hotel, One sees that it is an old Hotel, but renovated, clean and comfortable at a Good price for Basel. Restaurant is in the Hotel. Breakfast is better than in some small swiss Hotels. Try to get a room from 104 and up, they face to the rear and not on the street.

We stayed at this hotel as we moving out of Switzerland after living there for 2 years. Our stress levels were high but the hotel owner and staff couldn't do enough to help us. We had a family room (almost impossible to find in Switzerland), we had to leave for the airport at 4am so the owner gave us a...

Hotel is very close to the main road. Rooms on this side are expected to be very loud. On the first view the rooms are clean but pls do not check in detail. Mildew in the bathroom, fingertips on the ceiling over the shower (I can provide pictures!), etc. No air conditioned rooms! The poorest breakfast buffet I have ever...

A good value hotel but best to be avoided in the summer. No airconditioning so very noisy when the windows have to be opened. Make sure you request a room at the back of the hotel. The restaurant is typical Swiss ....... ok but nothing special. Location ... ok as it is on the no 11 tram line so easy...
