We have just stayed at this lovely campsite for 4 nights and our only disappointment was that we were not staying longer. A beautiful spot with decent sized pitches and lots of land and hidden surprises to explore. The owners are so helpful and friendly they make your stay feel really special. Really relaxed and peaceful site but with plenty to do in the area if you can drag yourself away.

I visited Moulin de la Geneste for just under a week, and quite frankly, I didn’t want to leave! Everything in the campsite was perfect, from the spectacular views, cleanliness, and of course Steve, Sharron and Harvey who could not have done more to help. The campsite is also situated near some beautiful spots to visit, so you have the peace and tranquility at Moulin, and if you want to visit the beautiful town of Uzerche it is a 10 minute drive. I was here by myself which was just bliss, however it would also be perfect for families and couples too. This campsite is a must visit!

Arrived on 1 April, pretty much the start of the season. Campsite was deserted and we were plotting our route to go elsewhere, when Steve, the owner, arrived and invited us to stay, free of charge. They were so behind due to bad weather, they had not been able to get the site ship-shape and our arrival was unexpected. Steve offered to turn the boiler on, so we’d have hot water, so we accepted his kind hospitality. Steve and his wife then cleaned the toilet and shower block for us. What service! We had the entire campsite to ourselves. Bliss! There are 2 loos, 2 showers and 2 washrooms. They are modern and the showers have good hooks, shelves, towel rails. The site is rural, overlooks a fishing pond, there’s woodland surrounding. There’s rough paths around the site and across the river. They even have a small area with some goats, sheep, miniature horses. They have a few holiday homes, dotted throughout the site, if you don’t like camping. They say they get booked up over the summer - which doesn’t surprise me - especially families, as children would love the freedom this site allows. This a great location to tour the Dordogne. We loved it.

This is a perfect camping site for families. We stayed for 4 nights and could have stayed longer. Our daughters got to feed the resident animals and ride a donkey. There was a small lake with complimentary canoes. We received a daily delivery of fresh bakery. The grounds were rustic and homely, the site was really good value and to be honest it's one of the best sites we've ever stayed in. Would go back in an instant!

Just home from a lovely 4 night stay! Stayed in one of the bell tents which was clean and on a beautiful spot. We had full kitchen facilities and enjoyed eating Al fresco every night! Shower block was clean and well maintained, fridge facilities came in very handy. Sharon, Steve and Harvey welcomed us into their home and made us feel like part of the family throughout our stay. They couldn't have been more helpful. We enjoyed the company of the family pets who would be regularly waiting for us by our tent! My children really came out of their shell this week! Harvey gave them a brilliant tour of the site where they played with the horses, pigs, goats and sheep and played in the fairy garden. My usual 'girly-girls' enjoyed going searching for newts, tadpoles and snake holes, made fires and played in the grass! An amazing time spent having quality family time!
