Generally a great 5 star hotel. The staff were amazing and extremely friendly around the hotel from the welcome desk, reception, spa etc. The spa therapist and treatment was excellent and definitely worth a visit. Breakfast was also very good although I do find it annoying when a five star charges extra for what I would consider a basic service. The exception to this was the pool. It was nearing the end of the season but it was pitiful - very slow and in cases not helpful. As the main point of my short stay to Ibiza (regular visitor so its easy for me to slouch out and not sightsee) was to recharge by the pool and I spent a lot of time here, this was annoying especially given how much each of us was paying for food and drink. I brought this up after i left via email along with lack of recycling) and no reply from the GM. I think I had the most simple room but very well laid out, very comfortable and as you would expect for 5 stars. As a regular visitor to the island I think this might be a new fave!…
We ended our stay on the island of Ibiza by a few days at the Nobu. After the calm of other more secluded properties, we were relieved to find a relatively peaceful atmosphere... the guests included many families who used their own pool and the only concession to the "party vibe" of the town was music at the bar and restaurants until about 2 am (which we barely heard once the patio doos were closed). The hotel in itself is beautiful. The design of the public spaces and of the rooms was impeccable yet relax. As expected, the room offered all the comfort and amenities one expects. The gift of flip flops and of a beach tote were a nice gesture. As this was a very special occasion, we opted for a Deluxe Junior Sea View Suite. Ours had an especially large terrace which we used quite a lot. Note that the suite was the size ono would expect a room to be so I assume the more typical rooms are quite small - yet extremely well designed. The larger than usual bathroom had a large soaking tub (which, as usual, we did not used) but offered beautiful views of the boats in the bay from the large shower or sinks. Even though the hotel was at full capacity, there were plenty of lounge chairs on the ocean front-note that nobody seems to venture on the "beach" or in the water (not as pristine as we have seen elsewhere around the island) and that we were there on days when the seaweeds were not picked up, giving a disturbing smell even from the loungers... we were glad we had daybeds on our private terrace to get back to. Great breakfast where we had wonderful service from Rita. Attentive staff all around, from the doormen to the housekeepers. Sebastian at the front desk was especially helpful, making sure that our special occasion was celebrated in a extremely memorable way. A bit remote from the old town (a 40 minute walk or about 10 euro cab ride), there is a nice boardwalk along the bay that allows for a pleasant stroll or run.…
I regret I considered this hotel as a SAFE place for myself and my 4 year old son. I was there and my purse with all valuables were stolen under the eyes of the security and in front of the CCTV. The police came and couldn't find the thieves. The hotel administration promised to indemnify me and my son for the loss and is been 6 months and I received nothing only a burger with chips for my son while I was at the police station with the hotel manager. Please see the photo screenshot where the Financial Director promises to offer maximum indemnification and all were LIES. I spent in that hotel a lot of money and all I received is having my purse with passports, documents, cash, jewelry, watch stolen. I promise to take further LEGAL action if the hotel administration will not contact me to compensate the loss. This is OUTRAGEOUS!…
I stayed in Nobu Ibiza with my wife and was so deeply impressed at the quality of the offering, attentiveness of the staff and overall vibe of the hotel. Being a 5 star hotel, the bar is high, but at every possible chance, the staff exceeded expectations. Tania was amazing at resolving every question we had, all with a friendly and upbeat attitude, even into the late evening. Carlos was incredible when we ate at Nobu restaurant, recommending dishes and personalising them to suit our palettes. Alvaro, the duty manager, was also incredibly accommodating and gave brilliant suggestions for what to do on the island. The hospitality and concierge staff were faultless, and the room themselves were beautiful yet practical, with the team insisting on over delivering whenever we had a request. Having stayed in several 5 star restaurants, Nobu is the top of the list for me, redefining luxury and style with it’s own eclectic twist. The small things like the wifi and check in experience were impeccable, with the larger elements also world class. Nobu Ibiza was hands down one of the most hospitable, beautiful and luxurious stays I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. 10/10.…
Great place to stay in Ibiza. Edwin ( their GM) and his team are doing a great job. They accomodated all our requests. The concierge team is great, they booked all the places for us for the entire duration and each one of them was great. Breakfast is nice and elaborate. Pools are nice and clean.
The team gave us such a warm welcome,. The room was gorgeous, weather was perfect and food fabulous we only left the hotel once to go to the beach We loved eating in Nobu the food is amazing The Black Cod is a must... The staff were immaculate and well-mannered and never showed any sense of stress only lots of smiles. A refreshing and relaxing 3-day break. Thank you to all the team
The Nobu Hotel in Ibiza Bay is a lovely hotel. The staff are really pleasant and offer good service. The food is fantastic. The rooms are spacious but we only had a double bed. Is a double bed 5 star these days? But the thing that got me was the ‘beach’ directly outside the hotel. Shocker! It’s not a beach and you definitely could go for a relaxing dip in the water. The so called beach is 2ft thick in seaweed. The very occasional glimpses of the ‘beach’ in their promotional photos don’t reflect this and so you feel a bit cheated. But that’s not the worst thing. The smell of tons of fermenting seaweed is not pleasant. For the avoidance of doubt…….it smells of ‘drains’ (being polite). This wafts across the pool area (to which you are a bit of a prisoner) with far too much regularity for comfort. This didn’t spoil our stay because of the other positives but it certainly didn’t enhance it and this comes into sharper focus when you come to settle your bill. That smell is a bit expensive!…
From start to finish we had a lovely holiday here. Josep, Brenda, Sandra, and Justen to name but a few were so helpful and nice to us.All of the staff are friendly and can’t do enough to help you. The hotel was clean and in a Superb location can’t really fault it. Nobu restaurant was delicious however I would give the other restaurant Bibo a miss. Definitely going back next year.
Rooms are very small. For two of us traveling the double sea view room was too small for us and wouldn’t fit two suitcases comfortably. We upgraded our room which was a better size but lacked privacy and which included an outdoor shower outside the kids pool area. A bit creepy to shower here each day, so do know this if you do upgrade to a suite. Every day I woke up I felt disgusted that we ended up upgrading. I’m not sure I would have cared if the price wasn’t €700/night more. The prices this hotel is charging for a basic rooms with terrible dining options isn’t justified. This hotel is overpriced, rundown and failing on many levels, mostly food but the upkeep of the hotel and poop smells from the sea need to be seriously looked at. The smell is so unpleasant that alone will make you question if the hotel is worth it or not. And you wonder what the real reason is for the smell. It smells like sewage leaks. Not to mention, the hotel is not close enough to walk to town, so if you plan on waiting to be in old town you’ll need a car or expect to wait a while for a taxi. The nicest thing for us is the staff are all very nice and try their hardest to help, even if ultimately they weren’t able to help me set up a UPS collection and I wasted an entire day going to UPS access points in town that didn’t exist.…
We arrived at Nobu and were welcomed by a very nice staff. Everyone was friendly and our room was upgraded due to us arriving though AMEX. Aside from the staff being very nice, the rooms being pretty cosy, and the pool staff being awesome, there are a few serious turnoffs to this hotel. I really would love to say that everyone at the pool is great, friendly, and attentive. Even if it sometime takes 12 minutes to get water. 1) We had an issue with our shower water changing temperatures throughout a shower. It took maintenance 2.5 hours to "fix it". After leaving they told us they would send housekeeping right away. We waited an additional 1.5 hours, and 10 phone calls to reception for housekeeping to come. Every time reception told me they are coming straight away, and another 15 minutes pass, no one came. When I asked to speak to manager, the reception told me "she is not available and she will call you back." Meanwhile I am sitting at 7PM waiting for them to send someone to clean the shower so we can shower and get ready for our reservations. It was only when I had to raise my voice did the manager suddenly have the time to attend a serious guest complaint. This nearly cost us our dinner reservations. After all that, they still didn't fix the issue. The hotel manager on call was informed and aware. We were told they would fix it while we were at dinner. The issue was never resolved, nor did anyone ever call to check on it. We ever heard any apology from the hotel manager or any compensation on a $1,600/night room which didn't have a normally working shower. 2) There is a 250 EUR minimum spend to sit on the beds around the main pool. Now, aside from the fact that we had no issue with this and paid that during our two day stay, I have never in my life heard of a hotel charging their guests a minimum spend to use any of the shared facilities, especially the pool area. This puts some guests as Tier 2, as the guest who don't sit there don't get to be next to the pool, don't get a wooden table for the food, or sunscreen and cooling cream which is saved only for those sitting at the pool side beds. 3) Two notes to your chef: a) Breakfast is on the weak side in comparison to other 5 star hotels. And just a small side note, Shakshuka is made with the eggs being cooked inside the tomato sauce, not fried eggs that are prepared separately and then thrown into the sauce. These are small details that make me feel like they are cutting corners. b) The yellowtail is not supposed to be so hard and chewy. Especially not in Nigiri... that was painful coming from a Nobu brand. 4) The hotel charged my AMEX a second deposit fee without informing me because I passed the deposit amount. Which I guess would be fine if you would have given me a courtesy call before you run my card for another amount without asking if that's the card I wish to use for another deposit. No one is going to run away not paying for their french fries after they put $4,000 on your hotel, you can relax. We have since moved to another top hotel in Ibiza and I can definitely say it's on another level completely. I feel like I came from a a 3 star hotel, the level of service here is so much better. Bottom line, Nobu, you really disappointed us this time and I can't imagine how you expect returning customers when this is how they are treated. You take premium prices, start giving a premium service.…
