Hotel is small with limited facilities. Their website was confusing , we thought we booked our Ibiza stay at Ocean Drive Talamanaca, which is nearby , but a nicer hotel. We got disappointed when we arrived at Ocean Drive Ibiza. Good part is that staff is very helpful and kind - just old hotel - need an upgrade.
For the price they charge, there are better hotels. The location is good but the hotel itself has constant construction and door banging from early in the morning. The front desk staff is nice, but management wont show their face, even when requested.
So, overall the stay was good. The hotel is in a great location near the marina with some really nice places to eat and is a stones throw to the beach. The staff were great, helpful, polite and always had a small and remembered who we were and what we ordered. The only downside was the room which was small, and I mean small, basically the bed and nothing else. The bed was comfy, but there were no draws in the room, the fridge didn’t work and the door to the bathroom was broken, plus missing tiles in the shower! I loved Ibiza and it didn’t dampen the stay, but if it had been as depicted would have made it better - as I say I can’t fault the staff, location and Ibiza is amazing!
I stayed with my fiance at the the ocean view room for 3 nights. The view is magnificent and the room is the perfect size for 2 with very convenient room design. I love the shower in particular besides the view. The staff at the front desk and at the bar are extremely friendly and helpful too.
If you're not looking for luxury, this is a great little spot. It's an easy walk to Pacha and the beach. I have stayed here three times. Once I was even here for two weeks. Its a friendly little spot with a rooftop and a bar in the lobby. It's my go-to. It's also one of the few places that is open year round.
I cannot rate this hotel as despite booking and paying for my hotel stay in May 2019, they contacted me in late September 2019 to say they had a computer error and had too many bookings. This was for a surprise birthday for a family member which I explained but they would not accommodate me. It took several weeks for them to find me other accommodation in the area which was really stressful and during this period, the manager admitted on email that they regularly overbook their rooms. My advice is do not book this hotel if you want a guaranteed room in Ibiza. Complaining to OD group was just directed back to the manager in Ibiza.
This is a nice hotel but some small improvements are needed. Breakfast was nice and the room was comfortable with a really nice bathroom, and very clean (we thought the a/c didn't work but if the balcony door is open it cuts out, good tip!). Next time I would forego the view of the old town for a quieter room as the road in front is surprisingly loud. Perhaps better double glazing would help. The staff were nice though and we got a taxi booked very quickly when we asked. A kettle in the room would also be good (for the Brits!) but location-wise, it's near to the marina and some clubs etc so that was handy.
Went on a recommendation from a friend, upon arrival one particular member if staff who dealt with us was very abrupt and quite rude. The room itself was clean but had a drowsy smell to it. The temperature at the time of visiting was over 30 degrees and the air con was not working. No discount was given or and form of compensation. Not impressed at all
No, No, not a great stay, overpriced and not worth it. I also paid for an "ocean view" - I mean I can only take so many late nights when morning quickly arrives with a busy road full of clackity trucks and whirring tour buses from cruise ships - not relaxing. Also a constantly unmanned bar (why?), everything is an afterthought with very little substance (beds aren't comfortable, breakfast is boring), nice try, I'd rather stay somewhere else, and Ibiza should demand better. I give 2 stars for the nice shower in the room. I give 2 stars for the nice shower in the room and the relatively nice people at the front desk.
WE have just returned from a weeks stay at the OD Ocean Drive. The hotel was in a great location, close to a wonderful beach with an amazing beach bar and lots of good places to eat and drink. We really enjoyed getting the short boat ride into the Old Town. The rooms were really clean and well looked after. The breakfast was great. The staff really make it a friendly and welcoming place to stay. The only down side was the lack of pool but we walked (and occasionally got a lift from the lovely Stefan) to the sister hotel in Talamanca. Would definitely recommend.
