It was not a luxury resort but one with a 3* or 3.5* rating. However, the service they rendered was very good and totally satisfactory!!! All the staff even the manager of the hotel was attentive, courteous and friendly. There were ample parking and we always had a spot at the disabled slot. Their WiFi also works well. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable and equipped with a mini bar and safe. It had a balcony that provided amazing views of the Adriatic Sea. Our half-board (breakfast & dinner) was fine, nothing fancy yet good and it included unlimited non-alcoholic beverages plus local wine and beer. The pool unfortunately is quite small for a hotel that size! But anyway, it is merely just a few steps to the sea with refreshing, crystal clear waters. The utterly charming oldtown of Krk can be reach along a lovely promenade in just 10-15 leisurely stroll..

We actually found nothing to dislike except that it took forever to get an elevator during mealtime. For a hotel that size, mostly frequented by huge families, then it would be best to build 2 more...

We looked for a resonable priced hotel with swimming pool at the beach and within easy walk to the centre of town... This hotel filled all our requirements and we more than happy with the choice. Being a family of five we got two identical two-room suites with sea view. The suites were recently renovated as the rest of the hotel. The suites were nothing super luxurious but did have flat-screen tv's and jacuzzies. All this for less than 80 € per suite per night, which was a bargain. I guess the price is double during high season. The breakfast was good enough and included everything from bacon & eggs, pancakes to serials, selection of breads and a good selection of cold-cuts. The hotel is popular with German and Austrian charter trips (for pensioners), so you may be one of the rare independent travellers... Didn't try out the lunch and dinner, but it would have been available for a cheap price as most seem to have an all-inclusive deal. The bar/"night club" served wine, beer and drinks to good prices and it was fun watching the pensioners dancing to the one-man-orchestra... The pool is big enough and there was plentiful of free deck chairs available for free as were pool towles. There's just the pedestrian beach path between the pool area and the beach, so you could leave your things by the pool and have a dip in the sea in between sunbathing. The beach is typical for Croatia: stony with concrete platforms for sunbathing and stairs into the sea, which guarantees crystal clear water. The hotel may be a reminder from the Yugoslav era, but nicely renovated and worth the price.

What you pay is what you get. The price we got included the minor inadequatenesses and we felt treated fairly.

Rooms
We had a suite due to travelling with our child. It consisted of an entrance a sleeping room with access to the bathroom and a living room. Sleeping and living room had a balcony each. This was more than awaited, extra + for that.
The rooms and beds were clean.
Our third bed was the couch in the living room. An extra bed for children should have taken 6 €/night, so we "rented" a chair from the corridor, which could be expanded to a mattress. A big - for that!
In addition our room was located in the southeast corner of the main building, were the pipes of the air condition ran and the air condition facility itself is located east of the building. When opening the windows in the sleeping room it sounded like a highway. Tip: try to avoid the southeastern side of the main building! - for that.

Food
The food was ok in general but presented a little bit loveless. The morning buffets were ok, one could find all parts of a good continental breakfast. The curd was worth an extra +. Although the dinner buffet changed daily it looked and tasted similar and unfortunately the vegetables were overcooked nearly each day. Parts of the food of the last day were offered as salad.
The drinks are a little bit too expensive.
The dining-hall was sometimes crowded and very loud.
The alcohol-free cocktail we had was fine.

Staff
The staff was quite friendly, except a woman at the check-in and a waiter in front of the restaurant. The other waiters and the charwomen were very friendly.

Entertainment
Very slim, especially for children. The pools were quite cold.

Other guests
Many senior guests arriving with buses, mainly from (eastern) Germany, some from Netherlands. Nearly all were friendly. The reason could have been that school holidays were already over in Germany.

The hotel situated very close to the old part of the city, within 5 minutes walk on a beachfront pass among old spruce trees. The beach is right in front of the hotel - rocky with ladders to the sea, but there is a small shallow bay too with small pebbles. The view from the hotel and from the beach too is breathtaking, we received two large rooms on the 5th floor. The service staff was very polite and kind with us, the food selection was great and tasty, much better than we expected from a 3 star hotel, there was a range even when arrived at the last 30 minutes. The WiFi was available even at the beach. The pool with the slide was a bit cold for our children, maybe it’s because it is under the shade of trees until afternoon. Highly recommended!

On arrival we were told we couldnt check in as check in was 2pm and it was only 10am. We asked if there was anywhere we could go while we wait as we had our luggage and the reception staff was extremely rude and unhelpful, just shrugging his shoulders. So we sat in the reception lobby and fell asleep while we waited. While waiting we watched many other families arrive with their luggage and check in and go to their rooms. Once we got to our room, we found our 2 single beds pushed together (very romantic), a broken fridge, disgusting stains on the furniture and no balcony even though i specifically requested one. The bathroom was tiny and missing the nice extras such as complimentry toiletries and the toilet roll was nearly finished. We actually had to request more as they didnt leave top us up. The sheets were not changed for the entire 4 nights although our towels were. The bar/restaurant staff were very nice and spoke english pretty well. However Ivan on reception was disgustingly rude and i felt particulary unhelpful. I asked him (on my birthday) if he had been sent the infomatiom regarding our return shuttle for the following day, he said no and when i asked what happens now, he just shrugged and said "i dont know, you booked it, not me". This i felt was very rude and unprofessional. Ive never heard of anything like that, ive always received my return shuttle info via hotel reception. This meant i had to call the emergency help line to ensure i could get home the next day. This is going to cost me a fortune when my mobile bill comes in. There were no staff around and i felt quite abandoned throughout my stay. The ones that were here were not friendly and didnt smile or welcome you. I will never stay here again.

Terrible hotel with very unfriendly staff. I was in six different hotels during my honeymoon trip but this one was really terrible. Unfriendly staff, bad breakfast and not clean rooms. IN email they promise one price, but when we come they provide another (doesn't help also email prints which i show). For FREE car parking they ask me a deposite 15Eur, which didn't give back. Breakfast all days was same and really bad. I never recommend this hotel.

Location close to old town, on the sea shores, but very poor services, especially for the reception, and a lot of things to be improved regarding the cleanliness in the room and bathroom. Old furniture and the room seems to be very poor.
Breakfast with a lot of choices, but nothing special.

Our large family with small children rented 3 rooms in the hotel. We had half board accommodation. I researched before all the possible available hotels and this was more reasonably priced. The buffets had good variety. There was a pool for children, water slide with supervision in the other small pool. This proved very convenient because the sea temperature was cooler and the smaller children had only shorter dips. The hotel is not that modern but it was clean. The location was great, the town is very pretty and one can have a good variety of tours and entertainment in Krk. I recommend this hotel.

I absolutely adored this hotel and it's buffet, both breakfast and dinner we were given a myriad of choices included in our very reasonable package price! I still remember all the little squares of cake and gateaux that were available, you could have two or three for dessert, plus a scoop of ice cream! So you were not full, but you had tasted a variety of wonderful flavours. The whole area is gorgeous, crystal clear seas, sparkling blue, with stunning windswept barren mountains carved from the white rock. We had a boat cruise with grilled fish for lunch. We even saw a school of dolphins in the Adriatic, it was paradise, and 38 Celsius all week! This was Aug 2009, I wish I could've stayed forever!!

We had a family vacation over Easter 2014 here in Drazica and we really enjoyed it. The location is excellent - a beautiful stroll to the city of Krk and two minutes to the seaside. The buffet breakfast and dinner were good and the staff were helpful and friendly to us and very accommodating for our toddler. There is also a small playground next to the hotel for kids, which is handy. You simply can't beat the location and the price. We had a great time.

The rooms are in need of an upgrade, but it's worth it for the reasons I mentioned above. The only thing that would make this hotel perfect would be a renovation/upgrade of the premises (a huge project), but then I guess the prices would go up.

Once we stayed in the annex which has nicer more modern rooms and is more expensive BUT I prefer Drazica for location, price and service. I'm sad to read that some people have said the service wasn't friendly - we found them friendly and polite.

"Rooms on the northwest are not too hot so you could live with open window. However this is directly over the street and hotel entrance, but it's not so noisy if you are higher in the building. The window/balcony door is connected to ventilation, which turns off automatically when opened. Avoid 5th and 6th floor because of GSM antennas on the top."
