Belambra Clubs - L'Alisier offers a stay that draws mixed reviews. While the hotel's location is often praised for its convenience to ski slopes and village attractions, opinions diverge on aspects like atmosphere and amenities. Some guests commend the cleanliness of the rooms and the varied dining options, yet others point out underwhelming aspects such as the small, underheated pool and dated rooms. Service quality fluctuates, impacting guest satisfaction. Moreover, the value proposition is frequently questioned, with a number of travelers feeling the experience doesn't justify the price.

Bjr, the establishment is very nice with the ladies of the reception at the top of the kindness and availability. (not really the case for one of the ladies of room service who has never been able to simply respond to a hello and who gives the impression on a daily basis to make the head!!!)

Unfortunately the wait every morning for 20/30 minutes to get his coffee at breakfast became very painful from the 2nd day - pb lack of coffee machines (2 running for 200 people - there were 2 groups in addition to individual tourists!!!!!)
RAS when it comes to dining - the meals are delicious and balanced with super friendly cooks!

On the other hand there must be a staff recruitment pb because this is the first time in 40 years that I see a hotel manager serving the tables and cleaning them!!!!

Animations: perfect!!!!

To see at the bar the volume of 2 cl of aperitif (port - muscat) for 4,5 €!!! the minimum in the restaurant is 5 cl (bar or restaurants) - it smelled of scam and especially desertion at the bar - pity!!!

Overall the stay from 22 to 29 June 2024 went well but there are things to review quickly to improve the quality of services rendered

Very cordially

We were directed here because the Poussins club in Tignes closed. We were made to believe that they had made a mistake in the reservation to make us pay the difference, which we ultimately did not pay. But this remains dishonest on the part of Belambra!

Scale in the toilet and shower, dust on the shelf, sheets with brown and moldy stains.
Missing a trash can in the restaurant's women's toilets
not enough regular cleaning in the reception toilets: often missing paper, soap, etc.

Good vegetables in the evening, good choice of raw vegetables.
Lack of varied and complete plant proteins and cereals at meals, meals of poor quality, not healthy.

Director who talks about “desk”, “shift”. We do not know the vocabulary of the hotel industry. It's not very pleasant.
Competent and motivated entertainment team but staff who seem tired.
Arrival forum in several places, which lasts too long (from 11 a.m. until after 12:20 p.m.) for families with hungry children.
Only one baby carrier on loan.

Narrow but well appointed accommodation. Good size closets. Practical storage. Vacuum cleaners don't suck. You should put more toilet paper in the accommodation (two rolls for two weeks for a family of 4 is clearly insufficient).
The balcony with drying rack is a real plus.
Large splinters on the pool terrace. Cold pool (e.g. August 8 at 22°C).
Selective sorting is only offered by display. Other Belambra clubs offer a kraft bag to store recyclable waste and indicate upon arrival where the bins are located.

Errors on the Mon Séjour Belambra application: opening of children's work indicated one hour earlier, incorrect prices for additional meals, unspecified locations, etc.

Family resort, in chalets, pleasant town planning.
The included Leisure Pass is great: three free chairlifts, big discounts at the Saint-Gervais thermal baths and the fairy tale museum.
Organic store nearby.

I don't see how this holiday village is eco-responsible.

Partner hiking guide (additional service) misogynist, who returns late to pick up the children from the clubs. Does not offer warm-ups or stretching. Makes a lot of unpleasant thoughts. Is not transparent about additional costs: lunch at the refuge, snack at the farm, cable car...

I only give it a 3....
While we could easily give this club a rating of 4 or 5... for its location, proximity to shuttles, sports shops, slopes - also for its spacious and functional accommodation, despite the narrowness of the shower - without glass in the bathroom, on the other hand poorly informed when you arrive at night, icy and dangerous climb,
But there are lots of little details that spoil your stay at the restaurant every day: e.g. 8:15 a.m. nothing more - endless waiting at the 3 coffee machines and often one is broken - no half-salted butter for at least 2 days - missing yogurts - unripe fruit - etc etc...
You're constantly looking for the cutlery, the sugar...no functionality...no organization.
The main criticism is that you never have anyone at reception or at the entrance to the restaurant to report an anomaly, a breach....
Management only has its functionality on its pay slip but not at all in customer service.

The +: the animators are quite nice. The children's clubs are good. Bedding ok.

The -: the restaurant is a disaster. It’s a bad canteen (e.g. tough meat impossible to cut, of course no suitable knives). Badly organized. Little choice. Few quantities so general panic at 7 p.m. when the room opens. We have done other Belambras and the restaurant in this one is really bad. Whether for breakfast or dinner. No small spoons to eat a hard-boiled egg or yogurt, every day. We're lucky if we have a bowl for cereal. Scrambled eggs are 10 times overcooked. The fruit salads are unappetizing (very limited fruit). The chairs are dirty. The tables are not washed during service. Then the rooms can be in other buildings which are only accessible in hiking mode with elevation change (they provide a trolley for luggage which must be pulled…). If we had clearly seen it on the site, we would not have come because it is annoying. Room not ready on arrival at 6:30 p.m. and not even notified by reception. No mid-stay cleaning (why? Because). You have to beg for toilet paper at reception who gives 2 by 2 in garbage bags... The swimming pool is frozen, the temperature indicated is wrong. It's really not up to par. Big management problem (besides we would think the managers are hiding, we never see them, it's funny eh). Belambra is over for us.

Hello,

This vacation was the worst of my life. Despite the beautiful natural setting, we had a very complicated stay with this club. The rooms are tiny for four people, it is almost impossible to cross between us. It was hot inside, and we couldn’t leave the windows open because of the constant noise coming from outside.

The pool too small for a club with more than 200 rooms, so we didn’t even get to enjoy it once.

The restaurant is a real disaster: it is hot inside and dark for lack of light, the furniture is obsolete and often dirty, including glasses and cutlery. The staff of this club does not seem to have had any training in hotel catering.

The young waiters are overwhelmed, they seem to be drowning in work, and we barely see them in the room. No one answers customers’ questions, we are obliged, every day, to clean the tables ourselves, and look for cutlery and glasses, if we are lucky enough to find them. It’s really not nice to go through this morning and night.

As a hospitality professional, I have never seen worse. The presentation of buffets is non-existent.

The worst part is that the buffet offers a very limited choice and the quality of the dishes is really deplorable. None of the hot dishes are actually worked they certainly pass from the frozen box to the oven, then are placed directly on the buffet.

The starter buffet is limited to carrots, corn, hard-boiled eggs, two bowls of industrial salad and two plates of cold cuts. The same goes for desserts: frozen pies simply placed on plates. In addition, there is no label on the dishes, which forces to always look for someone to answer our questions, and often their answers are unsatisfactory the person doing the grilling and very unpleasant and mean to everyone and we had the Impression that we are given free food you take what is there and if you are not happy with it.

Used to all inclusive clubs, I wanted to try Belambra this year, but it really has nothing to do with my previous club experiences.

Exhausted by this experience, I left the club a day before the end of my stay. If it wasn’t for my children, I wouldn’t have even endured it for three days.

Ultimately, it becomes urgent to send someone to save what can still be saved.

cordially.

This club has clearly deteriorated in terms of performance. I had been there twice before and it was much more satisfying. The welcome is very cold and impersonal. When we arrived there were croissants and chocolate breads on the counter. No one offered to help us. Animation is very poor and reduced to its simplest expression. Just look at the Things to Do panel. For Saturday, July 6 there was nothing posted. The field of activity where pétanque could have been played is not maintained and has a neglected appearance. The bar could not offer a basic cocktail the pignacolada made of coconut cream with a satisfactory quality. The pool is not always open at the advertised time. The curtains of the rooms of the main building are not blacking out enough so the day wakes us up from 6 am. Rating a positive point: the presence of a small but unannounced refrigerator. The big black spot is catering. The hours are very limited: if you arrive at 8:00 pm or 30 minutes before the end of the services you may not have much choice in hot dishes except pasta with uncooked tomato sauce and which often serves for the same fish. Two evenings when the pastry chef, who manages rather well in the kitchen, was on leave the dishes offered by the old cook was deplorable (potatoes and cooked in water, cauliflowers, paris mushrooms completely dried under the lamps...). For the other evenings you must quickly reserve if you have spotted a hot dish that interests you otherwise there will be no more. The desserts are very little varied. Flavoured yogurt, low-end cakes, fruit (apples and unripe kiwi) that end up being recycled into fruit salad. There is no cheese worthy of the region (no roblochon, no beaufort...). The staff is defrocked and disinvested. A young man in the room to whom I pointed out the lack of dressing refers me to the cooks because it does not concern him. the breakfast is okay but quite poor from what I had known. Ah yes I Rating the absence of microwaves (if any at the corner of babies), oils and vinegar. Apparently after our Check-out a manager finally came to put some order from July 13. In short there are many things to improve for this Belambra which seems to be abandoned.

We had a very good stay at Belambra Club L'Alizier de Praz sur Arly! First time in a full board club with our 5 year old son, and everything was really good for the 3 of us, our son really liked the entertainment, the entertainers, the kids club and the mascots Léo and Léa!! 😄
The staff is very friendly, smiling, attentive and professional. Congratulations to everyone for these qualities!
The meals were completely satisfactory, it was very good and varied.
We really appreciated the afternoon snacks, and also all the little touches that punctuated this stay (for example the roses given on Valentine's Day evening!).
The rooms are very good, at all levels, we were pleasantly surprised, there was everything you need, great!
The location in the village and in relation to the ski area is ideal, what a comfort to have the skibus shuttle which passes in front of the hotel so often to go to the slopes! And even if you go there on foot, it's quick and very pretty as a setting (even without snow!)
We really enjoyed this week and we fully recommend this place, very quiet (what a joy!) and perfect for families with young children!
Thank you for everything!

Frankly disappointing.
I expected small rooms, but now they were worse than a Inn room.
And above all they were dirty and obsolete. Why put a mattress, we touch the bed base anyway so much the bedding is stoned. I who do a lot of Pension for work well I just found the worst bed of my life and it’s on vacation, too bad!!

And I think the worst part is the chairs in the canteen! How can you propose such obsolete chairs... to sit on a chair is to fall into a hole.

At the catering level the hours are too restricted and if you reach the end of the service, well there is not much left.
We were with baby: she did not eat compote of our stay since there were no more... for 3 days. Bravo stock management. ...
Besides the table where the microwave is located to heat cold dishes or bottles has not been cleaned between two services, super cleanliness ....

Anyway disappointed!

We had a very nice stay, too short (a week). The food was varied te of very good quality with attentive and dedicated kitchen staff , the site director folds in 4 to find you a table in record time. Simple but clean rooms.
We also loved coming every morning to the photo classes offered by Gilles (a character) very pedagogue and attentive. To discover, really.

Very well located residence which allowed us to go on numerous hikes without having to take the car. The pass offered by Belambra offering free chairlift and water activities is a real plus.
Clean and functional rooms. Small downside on the size and condition of the shower which needs to be renovated.
Airy environment with horses who made our 2 and a half year old happy (notably thanks to the birth of a foal during the stay).
Restaurant offering varied dishes - only breakfast deserves more variety (same every day).
Well-maintained swimming pool - varied entertainment for everyone.
Please note: children's club only open 4 days a week.
The residence is certainly "in its original state" as I have read but given the size, a major renovation would inevitably lead to an increase in price... it is a 3 star, the services and the price are those of a three star...
Point of improvement: the overall cleaning of the “common” areas which needs to be improved - insufficient frequency and dirty glass areas.
In short, it's not great luxury but it gets the job done and what a joy not to have to worry about shopping and cleaning on vacation!
