My wife and I took a road trip through France during October 2015. We took a Brittany Ferry to Bilbao and then drove into France, stopping initially in the Pyrenees and journeying on to the Dordogne and finally catching a ferry home from Ouistreham. The road trip was a combined gourmet experience and sightseeing trip. All the hotels we stayed... More

Bearing in mind the cost of the hotel along with the cost of the menus it offered I have rated this establishment accordingly. We stayed in the annex building and yes the bathrooms are a bit dated:ours being chocolate and lime, but they were spotlessly clean. The soundproofing isn't brilliant, but not as bad as some places I've stayed at.... More

We did not stay at the hotel, but ate in the restaurant two nights running. It was excellent. A three course dinner of Euros 16.50 - with the highest quality ingredients, good size portions and very well presented. Would thoroughly recommend it.

I am amazed at the reviews on here, I would imagine that most of the decent rooms must be in the annexe. Unfortunately we had a room in the main house and I truly cannot think of one positive comment. The hallway was dark and musty, our room was tiny. The toilet was behind a sliding door and if you... Sadly this was just an overnight stop over for us but we would happily have stayed longer. Lovely quiet, ground floor room as requested, with it's own little terrace with table and chairs facing the swimming pool and the garden. Decor dated but all spotlessly clean and everything worked! Free private parking. Free wifi and a good breakfast, friendly efficient... More

The hotel is nicely located, close to cahors. I stopped here on my way to Spain and did not regret it. Very friendly people, make you feel welcome at once. The rooms are basic but very clean, is missing. The walls are a bit tin. There is a swimmingpool. But what was truly amazing is the superb food at very... More

I stayed at Le Clos Grand for one night in May 2014, while visiting Cahors to adopt a dog. I found and booked the stay through tripadvisor. The hotel is easy to find, but you need a car as it's quite a bit outside Cahors. Parking facilities are nice and plentiful. The reception was nice, however no english spoken so... More

Our room was in the annexe across the garden. The reception was very warm and welcoming and we were shown to our room. The hotel is close to Cahors but in a very small village. The restaurant was lively and the food excellent. Breakfast was buffet and varied and plentiful.

We read some good reviews on this accommodation so booked to see for ourselves. To be honest - it is NOT tourist season and it has been very cool weather, but the musty smell when entering the hallways was quite overpowering, which disappointed us. Luckily for us it did not show in our room, but our balcony had a large... More

A little off the beaten path but a nice departure from staying in downtown Cahors. Drove through town and then returned for laundry duties (interesting old town/downtown) but little in the way of sightseeing. Hotel reception was very nice. Good accommodation. Dinner was lovely with lots of choices, ample portions and high quality food, as well as good wine choices.... More
