This is a beautiful cottage (with a pool) in an idyllic location in a captivating county. We stayed at Clanville Manor with 2 small children. Our journey down to Somerset was plagued with traffic jams so we were not there for our Asda delivery but Sally the owner was wonderful and met the delivery, even putting it all away for... More

We stayed here (tallet cottage) for a week at the beginning of July 2016. The cottage was excellent and well equipped. We even managed a dip in the pool which was lovely and warm. Location wise it is in a great spot to explore Somerset and beyond. We had day trips to Bath, Weymouth, Glastonbury and Longleat Safari park. Sally... More

Thank you so much for your review of our cottage, The Tallet! It was lovely to have you as neighbours for your holiday week and I hope you'll visit us again. The chickens are always a hit with young children and we do our best to arrange egg collecting around your itinerary if possible! More

We stayed in the Lone Oak cottage for a long weekend, family group included 19 month old grandson. Sallie provided everything we needed - cot, high chair, baby bath and loads more. He loved feeding the chickens, watching the tractor, making friends with the cats, although he drew the line at the cows! His best thing though was seeing the... More

Thanks so much to the fabulous Rob and Sally at Clanville manor we have just had our best holiday in a very long time. They were wonderful hosts despite being clearly very busy on a working farm. Our 3 year old absolutely loved having responsibility for feeding and collecting eggs from the chickens each day. The garden in the Tallett... More

I must be frank and say that I didn't have high expectations of this 1950s bungalow. But I was very wrong. It's in a great spot, with a wonderful view from the back garden (and the back bedroom, propped up in bed with the double doors open) across the field to the oak itself. We checked with Rob that it... More

Thank you so much for your very detailed review of Lone Oak-it is often a hit with families despite its rather basic outward appearance, and I'm glad you all enjoyed sampling all that we have to offer at Clanville Manor. It was lovely to meet you all and to start a fossil hunting hobby! I hope you will return again... More

Our large party (21 including 10 children!) have recently returned from Clanville Manor where we spent a truly fantastic week. We also rented the Tallet, the cottage next to Clanville (as well as the bungalow down the lane, but I didn't see that!). The Manor house was superb - it housed three couples and 7 children and there was plenty... More

This is by far the best B&B I've ever stayed at and must surely be the best B&B in Somerset. Everything was excellent, from the warm welcome to the beautiful antique furniture and from the idyllic location to the wonderful breakfast. And most important of all - the room was extremely quiet and the bed incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended!
