Cute, Small, nice people, good WiFi connection. For young people very nice, because of the nice Prize and to Meet New people from all over the World. Since its near to the minami-senju Station You'll also have no Problem to Catch a Look all over Tokyo. Me and my friend really liked their bike rental offering ^~^

The hostel was okay, they offered cereal breakfast, which was nice and there were other friendly travellers that made the atmosphere open. However you have to pay 100 yen for 5 min showers and the staff is at the lower spectrum of friendly. The room was clean-ish but the kitchen is small and you don't really have space to cook... More

The Aizuya Inn is a very comfortable hostel and the manager Raoul and Team are very nice and always have sightseeing tips and time for you. ;) The Location is very good too - 10 minutes walk from Minamisenju trainstation. We will come back next year to the Aizuya Inn! Greetings from Germany ^_^

The fact that the hostel offer some private room for solo traveler is a really good point. The staff is really nice and offer some good tips for visiting Tokyo. Also, the hostel offer the breakfast free of charge everyday (just cereal with milk). Maybe putting some breakfast variety (toasts, etc.) would be better for long stay traveler.

nice place, close from metro (beware the maps not always North-oriented !) and not far from the center (2 stations from Ueno), appreciated flexibility on check-in and check-out, usueful guides for Japanese cities available (I could better prepare my Kyoto trip).

The second time i come to Aizuya Inn and I was not disappointed, even pleasantly surprised how it actually improved. The fact that there is no more curfew is really good. You can wander in Tokyo at any time of the night. The inn is well located : less than 5 minutes walk to 7-eleven, 10 minutes walk to Minami-Senju... More

We enjoyed our stay at this nice place . The manager was very helpful person and I really recommend this hostel. It was our first travel to Japan and as we are french speakers, this place was very good for us as the information was given to us in french. The hostel is closer to the famous sky-tree and a... The inn is very cute, clean, and great service. The attendants speak English well, as well as French and japanese. Their are washing/drying machines, showers on another floor, and cereal breakfast with juice. Lovely.

I stayed in this inn with my younger brother recently. The room was quite small, but other than that we had nice rest here. And the manager here is very nice! Quite recommended! Of course if you don't mind staying in small tatami room that is...

I really loved the decor of Aizuya inn. Each bathroom had its own theme(the hello kitty one is so cute). They also provide cereal and juices. The neighborhood is also quiet and refreshing after a long day of sightseeing. For the most part, the inn was clean. The sleeping mats were a bit worn and some were stained, but it... More

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighborhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
