Our school group was really pleased by this small hotel in Asakusa. The rooms are pretty small, but the breakfast on the top floor was perfect. The view from the hotel roof is incredible as well. Security was excellent - all guests return their key on their way out. Convenient walk to several different stations, as well as Sensoji itself.

It is possible to catch a direct train from Narita 1 or 2 straight to Toei Subway Asakusa Station (no changes) in just over 1 hour. This is helpful when leaving with your shopping! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely (Japanese or continental) and served in lovely small room with wonderful view of Sumida River and Skytree. Room very clean. Lots to discover in the surrounding area.

Close to Subway. Close to historic area. Close to market-style shopping. Great staff. Great breakfast. Great view from the breakfast area on the 9th floor. Great access to the airports. We loved everything about our stay at Hotel Hatago in Asakusa.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The room was nicely decorated in a Japanese style. The rooms were very small, but spotlessly clean and very functional. Everything we needed was there. There was even the possibility to wash your clothes using washing machines and driers in a room next to the reception. This is a paid service, but it is a nice convenience. The complimentary breakfast was a real treat. The view from the 9-th floor is really nice and the Tokyo Skytree is clearly visible. There was a choice between a Western style breakfast, including a vegetarian option, or my favorite, a bento box. Both were a little different each day. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. It is a few minutes away from the Asakusa metro station. From there you can also get on the Ginza line. The famous Sensoji temple is just 10 minutes walking and there you'll also find several shops and restaurants. If we ever return to Tokyo, this is the hotel we'll be staying in!

I've stayed here 3 times now and the hotel delivers excellent value for money in Tokyo. The rooms and common areas are always very clean. The breakfast is great although the lack of options may annoy some people, however you need to keep in mind that you are not staying at a 4 or 5 star hotel and the view from the dinning area is amazing. The staff who provide the breakfast are exceptional. The only issue I've had is the incompetence of 1 male staff member who could not even find the booking on check in despite my travel partner and I being able to see it on the printed reservation sheet he had. He was extremely rude and if I had not prepaid on a travel website I would have walked out due to his attitude. Apart from 1 useless staff member the place is great and either a little more staff training or removing the incompetent staff member from front of house will make this hotel a 5/5 for me.
