Nice hotel, it is not a big hotel, but near station, and walking distance to Sensō-ji. It is one of the hotel can watch firework (The 2nd Firework place of Sumida River Fireworks Festival). It is really beautiful. I like it so much. Some staffs can speak in Mandarin, convenience for me (I am from Hong Kong).

When traveling in Japan, I always prefer Japanese tatami bedroom than western one. This small B&B has the combination of both; with tatami floor and western bed. We had a nice and quality sleep during our stay in Tokyo. Their breakfast is simple with two options only; western style with bread&coffee or Japanses with rice/miso soup. You may find it's too... We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Although the rooms are small, they are traditional Japanese. You take your shoes off once you enter the room as the floors have rice mats. They serve a complimentary Japanese traditional breakfast as well. The hotel is quiet and located very close to the metro which is a short ride from the Tokyo... More

This is a very good hotel, with a great location in Asakusa near the main attractions and close to the metro station. Rooms are small, but this is Tokyo, and they have everything you need, including a yukata to use for your stay. You can get a massage in your room, though I didn't try this. Breakfast is served in... The hotel is especially convenient for those coming from / going to Haneda Airport, since it's a 3 minute walk from the subway station (Asakusa - Toei station). The hotel must be one of the narrowest I've stayed in; just a room and passageway wide! The room is tiny; I couldn't open my luggage properly and had to use the... More

Staff were always very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was so delicious we would wake up early to get the rice dish. Loved getting a fresh robe every day and that it had a traditional Japanese decor (tatami mats in room, paper screens on windows).

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighborhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
