This is a great hotel for those traveling on a budget. Close to transit and easy to find and in a fun area with great shopping. Rooms are spotless and well equipped. Wifi is excellent. The reception staff speak good English. One female reception was especially helpful booking a ticket for a show on a Japanese web site. I could... More

This is a very nice Hotel within a five minutes walk from the Ikebukuro station in Tokyo. The rooms are very clean and tidy, albeit they are small. Nevertheless, this is normal by Tokyo's standards. The rooms are equipped with TV, free WIFI, a fridge, a kettle with coffee and tea, an alarm clock, a hairdyer and air condition. Toiletry... More

Went to Tokyu for leisure and stayed at Hotel Resol Ikebukuro for about a week. Hotel was easy to find. But a bit far from JR Ikebukuro Station (7mins walk). Room size is standard in Tokyo style. But I love the fact that you can fully open a 29" suitcase inside the room. Pros: 24hr Supermarket (Seiyu) within 3mins walk... More

Thank you for your staying. If you use Subway station named Higashiikebukuro, you can arrive our hotel within 3 min. We also think Seiyu is very useful because this shop open 24 hour. When you have chance visiting Japan, please choose our hotel. More

The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood 6 to 7 minutes walk from the East Exit of JR Ikebukuro Station. It is easy to find and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. It took me less than 3 minutes to check in (payment in cash) and 3 seconds to check out. While most of the staff are, as... More

We stayed here on the weekend. The rooms are very nice, small though but they have a smart floor plan. Price is good, breakfast is good with good choice of Japanese and continental items. There is a parking available which is very convenient. Lots of nice shops and restaurants around the corner. The JR station is very close. Overall this... More

I stayed at this hotel through the ANA package. The hotel is new, modern with warm atmosphere. When I first stepped into the lobby, I felt it is so "feminine" as there was a sense of smell like the aroma scent. Lobby's light is soft and warm. Check-in was done through the electronic screen by writing your name directly on... More

Staying in Ikebukuro

Neighborhood Profile
Ikebukuro
Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. It has rapidly become the worldwide headquarters for ‘otaku’ or geek culture.
