Budget hotel, small room, but complete facilities. There are separate male and female onsen which is considered good for this price hotel. Breakfast is delicious and has a wide selection. Good service staffs. Amenities can be picked up on the ground floor with a yukata set, pillows, blankets added from the room. The location is not far from Ikebukuro station but may be far from the shopping area. But there are convenience stores nearby that are quite comfortable.
Not much to say here, room is compact and simple. If you are staying here it's based on price and location. The public bath is a plus. The staff here were quite helpful. Ms. DAI was easily one of the nicest people that we met in Japan during our two weeks here. Only complaint is the lack of cameras in the elevator and each floor. First place we stayed at that lacked this feature.
This place doesnt have spacious rooms but what it lacks in size is more than made up for in comfort. Breakfast is supplied and your room cleaned daily. perfect for budget conscious travelers. Besides your in Tokyo to see Tokyo. Close shops the train and more you cant go wrong here.
Having visited Japan five times, I have become familiar with typical hotels here. Most are small but have all the facilities a tourist requires. This hotel is similar but it has the smallest bathroom I have ever seen (One can stand in the middle and easily touch each wall with outstretched arms). The bath is little more than a hip bath. There was no tea or coffee in the room (green tea bags, only, are available in the foyer) and I did not appreciate being reminded to use every sheet of toilet paper before choosing a new roll. Only three coat hangers were available in a room that sleeps three people. Breakfast was good, and the staff excellent.
My friends and I stayed in a three bed room last night and it was great. Great price for the room and all the amenities. The room and bathroom were a little small but very clean. They have a very nice hot spring bath which we took advantage of. The breakfast was included and had a lot of options. Locations was great too, very close to the ikebukuro train station and lots of shops and restaurants.
