The hotel is located just 5 - 10 minutes from the Shinjuku JR station (access from the West Exit). It's definitely less than 5 minutes walk to Shinjuku East where you will basically find everything you need in Japan - food, stocks, gadgets etc. The metro stations are also just a few steps away.

Conveniently located near Shinjuku train and bus stations. Rooms are small, but well-equipped. Ours hadn't been renovated yet so seemed a little in need of redecoration. There's renovation going on now (July 2016) but other than the lift being covered in protective cladding, we weren't affected by noise or dust at all. We chose to take the hotel buffet breakfast... Ibis Hotel Shinjuku staff are very helpful. What I requested has been provided soon. For the first 4 night, we booked double bed room. It was limited space to move, but this size is typical hotel room in Japan. The night before back to Jakarta after going back from Osaka, we stayed at Ibis Shinjuku with triple bedroom. More spacious... More

Stayed three nights here along with my friends. Opted this property mainly being a Accor gold member and its location close to Shinjuku Station. The rooms are pathetic. Small and no windows. As soon we entered the room we were surprised to see its size. It is good for an overnight stay, we did a mistake by selecting an hotel... More

I usually stay at Shinjuku area when in Tokyo. Ibis Shinjuku is 3-5 min walking distance from the west exit of Shinjuku station. Far the most accessible hotel in the area by my experience. Hotel itself was the usual Ibis chain hotel with Japanese top notch services. Quiet, room size OK by Japanese standard, downstairs a restaurant / coffee shop... More

Good location. Average rooms. Renovations In progress, I was disappointed to be given a room on renovation floor when this is finished it will be an awesome hotel in an awesome location. Service generally quite friendly.

The Ibis is perfect for exploring the amazing sights and experiences to be had in Shinjuku. Its literally a couple of minutes from the train station. The rooms are small but extremely clean, as is the whole hotel. The staff were all young and very friendly. This was our last hotel in Japan and the breakfast was top notch -... More

This hotel is very good located and actually only some minutes by foot away from Shinjuku station. You can reach all the sights and shopping streets very easy. The hotel itself is undergoing renovation (which is indeed necessary). The hotel informed us upon booking and it was ok. They try to keep down any disturbance. The breakfast is ok and... More

Rooms are very small, be careful if you are claustrophobic but they make up for this short fall by their great service. When we check in, their hotel manager Hiroshi was personally there for us. We were given welcome drinks and you can see the passion and enthusiasm. Right up to checking out, Masuru san (sorry if I spell this... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
