I have stayed at a number of Hyatts and am a Hyatt fan. However, the service we received at this hotel surpassed anything I have received in any other Hyatt. The hotel is big and busy, with a great location in Shinjuku. Everyone we came in contact with could not have been nicer or more helpful--any request we made was... More

I chose this hotel because it was near the research facility and was not disappointed. It is opposite a government building which has a free viewing platform. Tokyo is safe so you can walk around. The hotel had a wide range of restaurants and even a 24 hour 7/11 in the basement.

Not a new build hotel, but perfectly located next to Central Park, Metropolitan Government Offices and a 10 minute walk to the frenetic Shinjuku Railway Station. Our Club room on the 6th floor was plenty big enough, and the bed/pillows/fitting to the Hyatt standard you come to expect. The open balconies at the lift area gave great views down to... More

I think the attractiveness of this hotel is the location and the transportation services provided. The hotel is situated close to the exit A7 of the Tochomae Station on the Oedo subway line + walking distance to Shinjuku Station. There are several good eating places near the hotel such as yoshinoya, sizzler and some other local Japanese places. In terms... More

This is more like a business type of hotel in Tokyo. But I do like the size of the room and how modern the hotel is. Service is very good per Japanese standards. Definitely a lot better than what we have in US. They will attend to all of your bags and take them to your room personally. It's just... More

My daughter and i stayed her for a week. Could not fault it. The rooms were a decent size. I found the beds comfortable with a choice of pillows to suit you. Short walk to train station. They do have a shuttle bus. Rooms cleaned every day. Lovely parkland next to it and we had a view of the Goverment... More

The location of this hotel is great. It is located about half a mile west of the Shinjuku Station. Additionally there is a subway station just around the corner from the hotel (Oedo Line) The hotel also has a shuttle that takes you to Shinjuku station. However the short walk there makes the shuttle immaterial. There are plenty of restaurants... More

Subway is close to the hotel. The hotel is very neat and comfortable. Staff are extremely helpful in all sections of the hotel. Housekeeping services are 24hrs and the staff are willing to do anything to make you feel confortable. There are many restaurants around. The trip was a combination of business and family

We chose this hotel despite reading some negative comments about room size. Our room (for three) was fantastic. Our view was of Shinjuko park and beyond. The hotel is extremely impressive when you walk in to the foyer and the staff are second to none, from opening your taxi door to providing you with an umbrella to delivering your lost... More

We spent 5 nights at the Hyatt Regency earlier this month. The location is great, with a subway station right outside the hotel. The staff was friendly and spoke English. Great bar, great restaurants on the premises, and with the added bonus of having a 7-11 located on the lower level. We decided to spring for a king corner room... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
