I stayed in a Regency Suite this trip to Tokyo. It was my first time at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo and the stay was great. They had a convenient shuttle to and from Shinjuku Station that ran from the hotel every 20 minutes. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The Regency Suite was extremely spacious and the nespresso machine... More

It is a view minutes away from the Park Hyatt but far away from the Hyatt touch. This hotel is a factory and no attention to detail. The people are polite, but not helpful. They need more training. Rooms are dated. The Regency Club was ok.

The Hyatt Regency Tokyo was a wonderful hotel & location in Tokyo. The Regency Club was outstanding. Staff is extremely friendly & helpful. The club rooms were beautiful & tasteful. We will book this hotel again. In our opinion it's the best location in Tokyo.

As a returning guest and a Diamond member the treatment was simply awful. i will never return to this hotel. the room, location and food were very good. treating their most loyal guests was terrible. when asked to talk to a manager, with 15 staff members standing around lobby i was told no manager was available!!

Located in a business district. But do not be disappointed as it is 5-6 minutes away from the Shinjuku's train station, mall, restaurants, clubs, etc. using the free shuttle service that the hotel provides. There is a metro station (Tochomae station) below the building and a couple of convenience stores (7-11, family mart). The size of the room and bathroom... More

My business partner and I stayed in the Hyatt Regency and were truly impressed for a number of reasons: 1. Location The Hyatt Regency is located at a perfect intersection of wards of Tokyo, next to the beautiful, cherry tree-filled Shinjuku Central Park, close to the Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park, a major train station, and within just a few... Concierge service and room decor make this hotel amazing. Firstly, the concierge desk could not have been more helpful to us in helping us make restaurant reservations for our time in Tokyo - we contacted them in advance with details of restaurants we'd like to eat at during our stay, and they sorted everything out - in one case even... If you're in the points game/member, it's 12k per night as of this current writing. It's a business hotel feel and a lot of comments say it's old, but I think it's still fine. The carpets are a little old and maybe the wood decor isn't a very modern feel; but it's not like going back to the 80s and... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
