Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for
cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.

I stayed there in May. The room will be very crowded with 4 people and the extra beds. I would suggest 2 rooms. A 17 year old is not considered a child by lodging companies.

Thorpedo, only just did this move on our recent trip. This hotel is great and very roomy, anyone living in Tokyo that visits your room will go WOW!!! Anyhow forget bags on subway. Especially after a flight and a possibly busy subway stop and later change to get to Waseda. Catch a 1000YEN shuttle bus from airport right outside customs exit to Tokyo Station (Train Station) and then get off and walk 10m to get a cab. The shuttle stops on the street outside so no escalators, lifts or confusing steps. Taxi will cost you about 30AUD not really much at all. Not very much to get you into room and you dont carry your bag once. Great shuttle and a bit snoozy after a flight. Upon arrival a cool looking porter will take your bags to room. Tip: check out view from world trade centre. An easy train right to it.
