We stayed here for one night on our way to mexico, it is a stylish little place located about a 5 min walk from Shinjuku station, a short walk to restaurants, shops and gardens, and easy to get everywhere from there. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the place was very clean. The rooms are pretty small but... More

This hotel is composed by individual apartments in a quite street very close to shinjuku station and the living place of this area Small room but fine for a few days The roof top bar is really nice and opened on Fridays and Saturdays, visited not only by hotel clients. Could be noisy if you are on the 4f, same... More

Pros: Close to subway and JR train stations as well as major shopping area in Shinjuku Cons: Perhaps ok for people who don't have lots of luggage (no elevator) and don't mind living in a university dormitory setting with very small room. We used the washing machine and dryers (required cash) but it seemed that only one of them was... More

My husband and I stayed here while travelling to Japan on honeymoon. We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The location is fantastic, very close to Shinjuku station south entrance and within walking distance of everything. The hotel staff are very friendly with good English. The rooms are clean but small, there wasn't a lot of room to move... More

Perfect for a budget stay in Shinjuku. It is in the heart of Shinjuku. Interesting urban apartment hotel with nice exhibition. Tiny but nice room with private bathroom. Very nice and helpful staff. Recommended.

A small but cozy hotel in Shinjuku in very convenient location - just 3 mins walk to Takashimaya Department store, which connects to tokyo metro and JR stations. I booked the decorated single room for female and find it with girlish designs. I have a dummy with me for my 6 days accomodations.

This place gets an A+ for character alone. The ground floor is a boutique selling vintage jewelry, furniture, and design. The rooms feature antique and modern Japanese furniture. Rooms are small and sparse, but the great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great location within walking distance of everything cool in Shinjuku all make up for it.

A stones throw from the station, shops and restauraunts of Shinjuku. A quirky hotel which seems like an ongoing art project, loosly based upon the antique shop of Orwell's 1984? Rooms are tiny but still ensuite. Small kitchenette you probably won't use. Laundry we found usefull, although the dryers didnt seem to dry effectively and we resorted to hanging clothes all... Stayed at this little hotel for 3 nights a week ago. Location is perfect, very close to Shinjuku station. Even though they say to use the south east exit, I find that the NEW south exit is the easiest/most convenient/less people traffic, bring you straight to Takashimaya which is not far from the hotel. Took me around 15 minutes to... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
