At night, after a long flight, in the drizzle we found it initially difficult to find. However, it's only a 7 mins walk to Shinjuku station which was excellent and not much further to the Tokyo Government Building. Once you've found it once there's no problem finding it again. The corner ramen noddle cafes and local convenience stores made for... More

This hotel was selected because the group we were traveling with stayed here; it made transfers to the cruise terminal easier for the group. However, we found very comfortable beds, clean rooms, and a very helpful and friendly staff. The location; a very easy walk to the Shinjuku train station/shopping/food was a major bonus. The myriad of eating choices (mostly... More

This hotel is located in Shinjuku and is within walking distance of Omoide Yokocho and Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Meiji Jingu Shrine and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. We stayed at Nishi Shinjuku Hotel Mystays for four nights and really enjoyed it. The hotel is located in a quiet street close to Shinjuku station. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. Our room was small and clean. It provided everything you need (except space, of course). The staff were friendly, too. All in all, I really can recommend... More

Good price, nice location, close to lots of resturants. Quiet with comfortable beds and great wifi. Catered well for English speakers. Included breakfast was fairly uninspiring but good before a day of sight seeing. Would go back.

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
