Upon arrival I was upgraded to a “premium” room on the top floor, which I was excited about, until I realized it meant I get a higher ceiling and great view. Which I guess is cooler? Otherwise, it’s a standard business-style hotel room that’s on the smaller end (normal in Japan), with clean and functional everything. The breakfast is very...

The hotel is located in the heart of Shinjuku and a taxi can be found right round the corner. The executive rooms are good and are equipped with the famed japanese style toilets. Breakfast is basic but the service is good. Breads and stuff.

Location-wise it's not in the main Shinjuku area where the action is. In fact, it's a little bit out of the way, just one local train ride to Okubo, which is perfect if you want a little peace and quiet. Not good if you are traveling with older people who want to just walk right out to the action and...

Conveniently located near Okobu JR line. One stop to Shinjunku station. The room we are in on our second visit to the hotel has a view toward Shinjinku city. It is facing west so can be hot as the sun is heading down. Great view from the 15th floor. Different but it's equally as nice as the east facing rooms....

Situated 3 minutes away from Chubo station, the hotel is just one stop away from Shinjuku. It is also a 15 to 20 minutes walk to Shinjuku. Being one stop away from Shinjuku station also means that this can become a base for a day trip to Hakone via the Odakyu Line. There is no lack of food (or supper)...

Had a quick trip to Tokyo at the end of a week in Japan. The hotel is easily reached by taking the local JR Chuo line from Shinjuku to Okubo station. And it is just around the corner from the North exit - great spot as easy to navigate and the station isn't overwhelmed with people so good spot to...

My wife and I are visiting Japan for 10 days, for our anniversary, and we are staying in the Hundred Stay for the 7 nights (21st to 25th and 28th to 30th) that we spend in Tokyo during this visit. It has been a very satisfying experience so far - this is actually a set of serviced apartments, and we...

1) Convenient Location: A short easily walk-able distance from Shin-Okubo (on the JR Yamanote line) and even shorter distance from Okubo station (take the JR Sobu line from Shinjuku to get there). Ten dollar cab ride to Shinjuku station. 2) 24 HR eating places close by, including a 24-HR deli next door. Great Ramen restaurant next to a 24 HR...

The location is actually in Okubo (one stop past Shinjuku and about 7 to 8 minutes away by the local train) is very convenient for getting anywhere. Loads of very good local restaurants nearby. We stayed in the hotel twice. First for four days when our room was on the 16th Floor and was an upgrade. The room was very...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
