Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.

We had 4 nights in this hotel for our honeymoon. We wrote in the requests that we don't smoke so we don't wan't to sleep in smokers room. Surprise surprise: they gave us smokers room with strong smell of cigarettes and they saw what we wrote it was only a request so they can't move us! Long story short we tried again tommorow morning with different manager and they agreed to move us, but they didn't know where so we needed to pack our staff and put them in the lobby until the room will be open. But the rooms are large for Japan standard and they give everything (toothbrush etc..)

Well priced. Great location. Night life and interesting street life all around. Central point in the city. 24/7 convenient store next to it. Next to metro and large travel hub. Great place to base out of.

I have given the extra star purely for location which is good. We have still 3 nights to stay here which if werent paid for I would check out immediately. This hotel is extremely run down and is noisy not from the street but just internally. They were cleaning rooms through the night (can only guess its from the 3 hour bookings they take) which woke me up several times. The rooms are small from tokyo standards and the bathroom is so much smaller then japenese standards which you have to step up in to (its an accident waiting to happen). Bathroom like the rest of the hotel is run down and dirty. Do yourself a favour and look at the APA next door. Man I wish they had availability for our booking and we werent stuck in this horrible hotel.

Standard japanese hotel room are relatively small. have to keep my suitcase after getting the stuff i need, otherwise there will be no room for walking from the bed to the toilet. Conveniently located with a lot of drug stores, restaurants, convenient stores, metro stations in walking distance. VR-station located right across the hotel entrance. Worth going for fun. Car cannot stop right at hotel entrance but where taxi can drop you off is less than half a min walk from hotel.

The hotel is very centrally located in Shinjuku and quite near Shinjuku Station. The area it's in (Kabukicho) is a bit run down and has a bit of a reputation but this is Japan so nothing untoward goes on (at least that you'll see as a visitor). The front desk staff were friendly and spoke very good English though the check-in process was quite lengthy for some reason. The room (standard double) was larger than I expected as most hotel rooms in Japan in city centers are unbearably tiny. I didn't pay much (¥7,500) so didn't expect much but the room was a bit too dusty for my liking, the wifi was so weak it kept cutting out and I have and resorted to cellular data, and there was no reading light by the bed. The ceiling light is either too bright to read by or can be dimmed but it's then more of a night light than anything practical. As I was staying just one night it was fine but I wouldn't recommend staying hear if you're in town sightseeing as it's functional but not the place to look forward to coming back to after a long days trekking around sights.
