Shibuya, Harajuku, Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

We booked two rooms at this hotel for 5 days... as we were traveling with young children we had requested for an early check in which they helped us with. Location is super and the rooms are super comfy. The station is hardly any distant.. only draw back was the breakfast ... very few choices and staff was not really bothered ... Also no in room dining

Checked in at Shibuya Stream Excel today. It was about 10 minutes walk away from Shibuya Station. This place is awesome as it’s close to all the major tourist attraction like the famous Shibuya crossing and Harajuku (20 minutes walk or a ride away). It’s a very modern and stylish hotel. Think of warehouse kind of interior, concrete floor and brick walls. Very friendly and helpful staff. Check in was smooth. If you ask kindly, you’ll be able to checkout at 12 noon instead of the usual 11am. Each floor has a theme. There is even a shared kitchen area where you can cook rice and heat up store bought food in the microwave and oven. Too awesome for travellers who would like to save up some money. Loving the interior of the room we are staying. Its furnished with leather lounge chair and chevron carpeting. It’s at the top 13th floor with the view of the river. It’s light up pretty at night. We can see Tokyo Tower from here too. What a view, at night! My favourite thing about Shibuya Stream is it’s location. I could walk to Harajuku without having to catch the metro (which can get super jampacked at peak hour). Very happy to just hang out in the area. NOTE: 1. Don’t get mixed up with their other vote called Shibuya Excel Hotel. However, if you do end up at the other hotel, they provide a free shuttle bus service :) 2. Enquire about the free shuttle bus service. 3. They had bus limousines to Tokyo Haneda and Narita airport. You’ll need to either purchase tickets from the bus driver or buy it early. Please do enquire at the desk :) 4. There is a scale at the counter for you to weight your luggages. Just in case, if you ended up shopping waaaay too much :) Thank you for a wonderful stay again. Such a cool kind of hotel. I’m happy I got to check this place out before heading back to Sydney. You can find me on Instagram for more travel images. I love exploring new places whenever I can. Instagram @hellomissmay Hope you’re having fun in Shibuya as much as I do! It’s a safe place to wonder around, explore, eat and shop. X May

Very satisfied and very fortunate for me and family to have stayed at this hotel, in fact we stayed twice during June at this hotel. The location of this hotel is close to shibuya station. Lots of restaurants and cafes located on the second floor of this hotel and also there is a 7 eleven mini market located on the first floor of the hotel. Guest laundry and dryer are also available on the 11th floor. Small gym are also available though i never use it during my stay. Room size depends on the type. As we had 2 rooms with different types, i would recommend for a corner room as it is spacious for a Japan’s standard, however, the size of the standard room is not too bad for the local standard. For all the good things that I felt about the hotel’s environment, it wouldn’t be completed without the service I’ve received from the hotel’s staffs. This is the area I felt they are doing really well, in fact, it is the best I’ve encountered whilst in Japan. My first stay, on the 8th of June, for 3 nights, it was all smooth from check in time till check out. My second stay, which was on the 13th of June, was the time i really felt all those names I mentioned above (Nilu , Wada and R. Tsukamoto) went above their beyond of duties to help me and my family. My reservation got cancelled by accident (I do not know who cancelled this reservation) and I realized it at the time I was about to check in. Normally, when the hotel is running a very high occupancy rate, they would have offered you a room with their publish rate, but not for the front desk staffs at this hotel. They are willingly trying to communicate to their superior to get me my booking back and guess what, after a while, I got my room exactly the same type as i booked it and with the same price as i had previously. Thank you to you all for the amazing service you gave me and my family and yes, those dolls you gave for my kids, they brought it with them to sleep. Thank you Thank you very much!!!!

It was a gamble when we decided to try out this brand new hotel. And the gamble paid off! Because of Tokyo 2020, the whole Shibuya Stream was made very accessible via both underground passageways and aboveground skywalks to and from the Shibuya Station (JR line and Tokyo metro lines). Very convenient and straightforward. Just take exit 16 and you're at the hotel building. The size of the room we had was very very very good given that Tokyo hotel rooms are really tiny. This came with a small living space next to the windows and the bathroom was huge by Tokyo standards! Very thoughtful amenity kits were also provided. Cleaning was great throughout our one week stay. One small area of improvement would be front desk staff. Everytime I communicated with them, regardless of whether it is to help with making restaurant reservations or to ask them to fix the broken minibar fridge in our room, the staff didn't seem too keen. In fact, it's often less than the regular Japanese standard of service. Quite disappointing sometimes really. There were many choice places for food within the building like a Luke's lobster roll kiosk as well as Starbucks. Many eateries within 2 mins of it. Very convenient. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay at Shibuya Stream Excel Tokyu. It was an excellent location and had very generous sized rooms for the price we paid.
