Neighborhood
Shibuya, Harajuku, Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

Our room was a a twin, I had booked a twin with a terrace but on arrival was told the terrace room was not available and given breakfast vouchers instead. I would have preferred the terrace room I had booked. The room was not large enough to open luggage on the floor. Luggage has to be opened on the beds. Beds were hard. Wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel is positioned between Shibuya and Harajuku stations with Yoyogi park right behind. We stayed three nights on our first stop in Japan and found the hotel to be everything we needed as a base to move around the city from. The room wasn’t very big with no space for luggage, but the bathroom was practical with a great shower pressure. Lots of toiletries provided. Front desk staff were very friendly. Unfortunately our window (level 6) was frosted so we could not see anything outside, which feels a little like a jail cell, but I guess there was probably nothing there to look at.

I stayed here because I found it on booking.com and the rate was reasonable. Great location in Shibuya walking distance to everything! My son and I stayed one night. We asked for an extra hour after checkout and they said we had to pay 1000 yen (about $10USD) totally fine with that. As we were getting ready packing our stuff we were running late over that one hour we paid for. The front desk started calling our room harassing us.. at least five times.. finally I answer and I tell them I’m on my way down. I thanked them and they tell me to wait, I can’t go. Then they pull out a translate device telling me I need to pay another 1000 yen.. This started a disagreement because if I was to pay another hour they should of told me and I would not have rushed out. It’s not about the money it’s about the harassing calls and we were up there about 20 extra minutes.. so if I’m paying for another hour I would of stayed in the room. They were not nice at all and we told them we would give them a bad review. Then I video taped them. video unfortunately can’t be uploaded here. The one woman was covering her face of shame while I was video recording them. It’s bad business. There are plenty of other hotels right in this area so do yourself a favor and pick a different hotel where you will be treated nicely.

Stayed here for 2 nights when I arrived in Japan. The staff were excellent both at check in & in the cafe where we took breakfast. Breakfast was a good selection of both Japanese & European foods. Rooms are small but very clean with a nice range of toiletries. The bed was v comfortable and because the location is away from the main streets it was quiet- no traffic noise at night.

Modern and hip hotel and close to Shibuya and restaurants. The room was small but not uncomfortable and we had good service. Its not close to the station, maybe a 15 min walk, but such a nice walk through this wonderful city. I will definitely stay here again.
