Haneda, Kamata
Haneda / Kamata is known for its airport with many hotels popping up with the increase in international flights. It’s also an area that offers many shrines and temples with ancient origins including Anamori Inari Shrine or Ikegami Honmonji temple which is visited by more than 300,000 people in October's Buddhist Oeshiki festival. The area around Kamata station is lined with restaurants and is lively until late at night. In particular, it’s known for the large collection of tasty gyoza specialists.

This is a business hotel. Very basic, rooms are small but if you travel within japan as often as I do, you won't be surprised, it is standard for the price they ask for. Staff is pleasant. You get your key, get to your room, take a shower and go to bed. 100 m away is the early bus to HND airport. What else do you want? I always stay in this hotel when I am in transit. Never had a problem. But if you are one of those annoying tourists who ask millions of questions before even reaching the elevator, then this place is not for you.

I read the reviews after booking the hotel (should have done the opposite, really). So I had lowered my expectations before checking in. I read many comments mentioning that the staff were rude. However my experience with the staff was fairly positive - they were polite and nice. In terms of the hotel itself - do not be fooled by the photos. They do have a very decent lobby, but that's about it. Their rooms - I am a traveller that is very used to tiny and compact rooms in Japan, so their room size to me were not the problem. The main problem was the cleanliness of the room. The walls were scratched, toilet had a stretch kind of smell... I wasn't quite okay with that. However, I chose this hotel for its location. The bus stop really was just right around the corner so if you needed to catch an early morning flight, it is totally hassle free as the bus takes you directly to both international and domestic terminals of Haneda airport.

The room is incredibile small, impossible to sleep in the double room because the bed is for 1 person. The staff at the reception doesn't speak English, so impossible to have some information.it's also far from the center.

As per all Japanese hotels the room was a bit small, but for a single night and close to everything in Kamata, it was right on the money, walking distance to 2 stations and heaps of places to eat, and drink.

I transit through Haneda airport often and recently tried this hotel. The hotel is fine and very close to the Kamata station. It's on the smaller side, even by Japanese standard. Room is dated and not the most cleanest but adequate for one overnight stay. Staff was friendly and speaks enough English to handle the check-in and check-out process. I had the paid breakfast here and it was probably the best part of my stay. There were a lot of variety and everything was tasty.
