Haneda, Kamata
Haneda / Kamata is known for its airport with many hotels popping up with the increase in international flights. It’s also an area that offers many shrines and temples with ancient origins including Anamori Inari Shrine or Ikegami Honmonji temple which is visited by more than 300,000 people in October's Buddhist Oeshiki festival. The area around Kamata station is lined with restaurants and is lively until late at night. In particular, it’s known for the large collection of tasty gyoza specialists.

You get everything you need: easy excess from haneda 6th stop of the metro blue line. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the room and shaving cream and razor by the elevator. Breakfast from 5 to 10:30 - pastries, buns, bread jams and butter, orange and apple juice. Wifi code in the room on TV and in the information book. Small kitchenette with a sink, cups and Macha tea in the room, 2 kinds of slippers and a cotton bathrobe. Very happy with my stay here!

I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. This hotel is basic. You get a small room with a bed, a tiny tv, and a tiny bathroom. The staff here speak just enough English to get things done. This isn't an English speaking country and I'm appreciative they try to speak English with me. The hotel is a short train ride away from the Haneda airport. They serve free breakfast starting at 5am. Breakfast is simple- some juices, tea, coffee, bread, basic pastries. There are a few 7-elevens nearby. Great for picking up snacks or food on the go.

I went to see Tokyo Tower/Kyu-Shiba-Rikyu Garden/Zozoji temple, all close to eachother. This hotel was somewhat centrally located between Haneda airport and those destinations. I'm not a smoker, but the allowed smoking (just not in bed haha), so there is a faint smoke smell, which may be a deal breaker for some. I read some reviews about the expressway noise, but when I closed both window panels, I couldn't really hear anything. I think maybe some folks unwittingly have the outer set of glass doors open. Basic room, western style toilet with heated seat, green tea in room, basic cable tv included. The hallways are open air, so cold in winter. I had my own balcony.

Hotel room is small just like other budget hotels around Tokyo, located a few minutes walking distance to train station and this station have direct train to Haneda Airport made this hotel a good choice to catch an early flight. The included breakfast is very basic but the nearby train station have plenty of eateries also a super market just a few minutes away. Hotel room have a fridge, each room have its own individual WiFi password, hotel staff very helpful. Night time can hear traffic noice if leave window open. To find a convenience location near the traffic but without traffic noise would be next to impossible for a budget hotel, I don't understand why some people complain about it. Just close the window and turn on the air conditioning is all it take to eliminate the noise problem. I stayed at this hotel twice, the first time when arrived late at Haneda Airport and the second time was early departure from the same airport. I will stay at this hotel again the next time when I come to Tokyo because of this hotel's convenience location.

The hotel is close to Heiwajima Station, 6 stations away from Haneda Airport on the Keikyu Airport Express Line. After exiting the Heiwajima station ticket gates, turn left and when you are at the station exit, turn right and keep walking until you come to the hotel. Do not cross the road. There is an information office at the ticket exit gates if you need help. It was still staffed when we arrived at 11.15 pm. There is a McDonald's outlet on the right of the ticket exit gates if you need something to eat for the night. We had no problems buying teryaki pork burger from one of the girls who could speak "a little bit" of English. I sent an email to remind the hotel that we would be arriving late and requested that the room be heated in advance. Am very happy that this was duly done and we checked into a nice warm room. Staff at reception was courteous and helpful. The corridors may be dull, but the room and washroom were very clean. My son and I could comfortably sleep on the double bed (I'm small in size). There was not much noise from the traffic at that hour. Breakfast was buns, sliced bread (toasters available) and packets of green tea or cocoa for you to make your own. The cocoa was too sweet for me (bring your own packs of drinks if you prefer). Jam and butter was provided. The breakfast area is small, but for the price we paid for the double room, the simple breakfast was a much-appreciated bonus. Am very happy to have stayed in this hotel. It made a good start to our trip.
