We stayed at the Nakano Sun Plaza in November of 2016 as part of a guided tour with Inside Japan Tours. Because the stay here was included as part of our tour package, I cannot comment on the price or the booking. Location: The hotel is very conveniently located directly in front of the Nakano train station. You can see...

A run-down hotel on top floors of a rather decrepit office building. Rooms are tiny, TV only in Japanese and WIFI very spotty. Service was rude and food absolutely dreadful. Nothing worth seeing in the immediate area. There are so many great hotels in Tokyo. The worst 3 nights I've ever spent there were in this one!

I booked my room on one of the Tripadvisor partner reservation websites. The problem came from the description which was confusing. I had understood the website had booked me a non-smoking room, because all types of rooms were described on it (which I realized after booking.) The result is I was in a room which constantly smelled of smoke. This...

Situated opposite the train station and a street full of shops and restaurants, the Nakano Sunplaza is an excellent city hotel. The rooms are a decent size, very clean and have very comfortable beds. Very quiet for sleeping. Breakfasts are a choice of Japanese or Western. The Japanese were delicious bento box style. I would recommend this hotel if you...

I stayed here for 5 nights in late October and thought the room was ideal: spacious, clean, good temperature control, quiet, great view, and with a comfortable bed. It is a 5 min walk from Nakano station and a 5 min walk to Meiji university, so perfect for me. The lobby is on floor 16, which is unusual to us...

The Nakano Sun Plaza Hotel occupies floors 16-19 of this building. The building also houses a large concert hall (I've seen The Ventures perform here on multiple occasions and on this trip). There is large bowling alley in the basement and a three of restaurants also. If you choose to have breakfast at the hotel you must order it by...

We only intended to stay overnight from our arrival at Haneda Airport in order to transfer into our condo a 10 minute away. The hotel starts from the 16th Floor above the Sun Plaza Event Centre. This hotel is very convenient to shops, eateries and the train station. The indoor mall across the street can provide for all your needs,...

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel because of its location near Nakano Broadway, a mecca for Manga lovers. The neighbourhood was very interesting, with many many places to eat nearby, and being right across from the JR station was very convenient. We took the train a few stops to get to Shinjuku station, where there are a couple...

I stay at this hotel because it is close to the business office of one of my clients. It is typical of the standard "business" hotels in Japan. Fairly quiet, efficient and affordable compared to the Shinjuku area which is two train stops away. Eating breakfast at the hotel is limited to the set fare that they offer but there...

This is a somewhat unusual hotel in that it takes up floors 16-20 only of the Sun Plaza building a convenient two minute walk from Nakano station. Given the reputation for small rooms in Japan this was a pleasant surprise: more spacious than many business hotels in the UK. Clean and efficient but without many of the usual facilities of...
