I stayed here during a business trip in October and the location can't be bettered. The skywalks around the hotel (and to the nearby metro Shimbashi) help take you away from the crowded pavements. It is possible to go direct via the metro to Narita airport. The hotel is close to many restaurants and shops. It is located on the... More

A lot has been said about early check in policies, all is true. I have arrived at 11:30 and had to pay JPY 4,950 for the privilege of checking in three hours earlier (the room was ready though) so hotel simply makes some extra money out of it. Still ask myself a question why TV is located by the same... More

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of October and we liked this hotel. Room was not so small by Japanese standards and was nice as was nice the bathroom. There were a TV and double beds and nice bathroom products. We liked much the black out sliding doors of the window. Our room was in front of the... More

Five floors of a tower block makes up the hotel. Reception is efficient and business like and quite stylish. Rooms are a little long and narrow but big enough and in very good condition. Even the bathroom is big by Japanese standards. If I have a criticism the large beds are very firm. Breakfast is perfunctory in the lobby area... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We arrived by shinkansen at Tokyo Station and it was very easy to arrive at Shimbashi Station by JR, then around 10min underground walk to the hotel. Getting around Tokyo was very easy from this hotel, short walk from Ginza shops and restaurants as well. The hotel itself is in a very... More

This is a very quiet part of Tokyo which gives it a different flavor. The hotel is well located, subway line right at the door. Rooms are reasonably large for Tokyo. The staff are fabulous- helpful, cheerful. Breakfast was good and ample. There is an upscale small grocery store next door in the lower level with great take-away food. All... More

The hotel is a good base for visiting Tokyo, located in a business area well served with transport links and a wide range of cafes and restaurants. Short walk into the Ginza area. Rooms good size and very well serviced. Only issues were the breakfast very crowded could do with more tables and a limited offering for western tastes and... More

Great Hotel in a quiet location. 3 of us shared a room and there was plenty of room. The breakfast buffet was great, I'm glad they had a suggested plate for the Japanese style :) The hotel was on a private line subway which was easy to use. Access was easy one we got the hang of it. Couple of... More

Villa Fontaine Shiodome is different from other Tokyo hôtels that I practiced. It is within an office building. The entrance is within the wide entrance hall of this building. Metro and train station are "close"... about 500m. Several restaurants nearby the metro station. Walking distance from Ginza center. Next to a nice and big garden as well as the fish... More

They have breakfast. Although it is cafeteria style with partitioned trays, the food was enough for breakfast. The room is also spacious by Tokyo standards. There are tour options in the fromt desk so you can choose your itinerary from there. It is near the train station so very convenient. All of this (plus an express check out where you... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
