On my second visit to Tokyo, I chose Shiodome again as it is close to the Shimbashi area (read working-class great izakayas to eat) and walking distance from elegant Ginza as well. This hotel could be described as a five star lobby with three star rooms and two star breakfast. The lobby area is indeed impressive, with sky-high ceilings, as...

At first glance, it is impressive! The location is very good, just outside a metro station and a short walk from shops etc. Great rooms, front of house staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. was surprised when I asked for an ironing board and a small square thing was delivered to my room! Had to google how to use...

Stayed here for a holiday with family for 5 days. Took the 2 hour bus ride from the airport to Ginza. Ginza was walking distance to the hotel (about 1.5 km) but due to our luggages, we took the taxi which only cost us the flag down rate of ¥730. No problem with hailing taxis as there were heaps. Great...

Pleasant 4 day stay for a layover in Tokyo. Close to subway and trains and easy bus transits (reserved transit) to and from both airports. Breakfast is OK with a good bit of choice, both Asian and non-Asian. Very clean, quiet, efficiently run with small laundry area, I think, on each floor. Rooms are small which I assume is the...

Impressive lobby, small, but clean and well maintained room ( Superior queen) with everything you need. The bed is really hard which may be ok for some people and is common in Japan. The hard bed is the reason my husband and I chose to stay in an adjacent hotel but our 23 year old son stayed at Villa Fontaine...

Laundry great. It is easy to reach the metro, train. In front of the hotel there are taxis all the time...

A bit hard feedback but key problem was the bed...and as we mainly select a hotel this explains why I only put 2 stars. Mattress was terribly hard. Pillows also (well in fact 2 of the 4 pillows as I was in a queen size bed...2 others were acceptable but not good however). Except that hotel was very clean (except...

We had an excellent visit here. The rooms are a bit small, but once we figured out the underground path to the JR line, we loved the location. Continental buffet breakfast was excellent with the biggest variety of food I've seen anywhere. I really liked the almond treats in the room, and appreciated that the staff watched our bags when...

We stayed for eight nights over the new year period with our two grown up sons. We were looking for a good quality hotel that didn't break the bank, and that's exactly what this hotel is. We travelled Air France from Birmingham via Paris on Christmas day. Getting there: We pre booked one way Skyliner tickets and 3 day subway...

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
