The Conrad Tokyo garners high marks for its spacious, modern rooms with breathtaking views, despite a few mentions of wear. Guests appreciate the tranquil, elegant atmosphere, though some suggest adding cozier elements. The hotel's cleanliness is lauded, with its meticulous housekeeping often highlighted. Its location is celebrated for easy access to transit and local amenities, though it's a bit removed from tourist hotspots.

I have been wanting to stay at this hotel specifically since 2021. I finally got to have three nights there recently, and it did in fact live up to my expectations. I don’t know how much of it was the Amex FHR + Hilton Gold, or how much of it is just them being genuinely good at treating their guests well, but I actually felt a little sad to leave because it was such a pleasant stay.
Base room feels spacious, with the right amount of storage and furniture for one person to comfortably navigate. You can open the blinds in the bathroom to see the view from your tub which is very extra but cool. The little touches really stood out. The bottles of water being refilled twice daily, turndown service leaving sleepy time music on when I was away, offering mouthwash (I stayed at a newer and pricier hotel in Tokyo that did not offer this lol). The service staff were so, so great!
Being situated closely to so many transit lines and corporate offices, there’s a lot of security and people around. I never felt sketched out walking back to my room alone, even late at night.
Don’t make the mistake I did of getting off at Shimbashi station and taking the sidewalk and overpass to the front door - there is a very intricate network of tunnels and covered walkways connecting transit lines (to and from both of Tokyo’s airports), that lead right to the hotel’s front door. Save your luggage wheels the effort and say hi to Anisa the transit robot on the way.
Had free breakfast and $125 dining credit (around 19k yen) thru Amex’s FHR. Breakfast was at Cerise on the weekdays and China Blue on the weekends. Promo breakfast is one (small) entree plus the buffet and choice of hot drinks. Loved the mango pancake entree. Buffet is 1/4 Japanese items, 1/4 western-ish, 1/4 salad/fruit/tacos (??) and 1/4 yogurt/cereal/pastries. Used dining credit for two lunches (the Ao bento lunch is a lot, but good. the Matzukaze sushi course slapped) at Kazahana.
If you can find a reasonable rate and it aligns with your trip, I would highly recommend staying.

This was perhaps the most unique hotel we have stayed at. The hotel is part of an office building, and you take an elevator to the 28th floor (if memory serves me correctly) to the check in area. Do not let this put you off - there are greeter from the hotel in the building lobby and they kindly escort you to the elevator. LOVELY, friend amazing employees all over.
The room (Suite) were perfect - everything was amazing - a well thought out size. Food at the hotel was delicious at breakfast time.
The executive lounge was pleasant - snack (small arrangement) were available from time to time - as a not alcoholic drinker, I did not have any complimentary "top shelf" beverages - but their coffee was delicious.
As much as I loved this hotel - as a tourist I felt it was a little far out from so many things a tourist (on our first visit to beautiful Japan) would like to see. As a businessperson - this is a great place to stay - don't second guess it.
Thank you, Conrad Tokyo, for a lovely week at your lovely hotel.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveler reviews.
Deciding where to stay during your trip depends on many factors. If your budget and itinerary permit, if you wish, you might as well stay at the Conrad Tokyo (Conrad Tokyo) located in Shiodome, overlooking the Hama-ryukyu Onshi Garden and the Rainbow Bridge. .
Take the elevator to the hotel lobby on the 28th floor, where the open atmosphere is refreshing. The standard guest room is about 14.5 square meters (48 square meters). The headboard and carpet are designed with an ink cherry blossom theme (there is a bird on the branch), combined with calm wooden furniture and Japanese lantern-shaped bedside lamps, creating a different presentation. A fusion of Japanese and Western style that has fallen out of fashion. The black and white-based bathroom has a square layout, with standard dry and wet separation and a smooth independent bathtub, as well as a double sink and an oversized light mirror that you don't need to push around. It is very suitable for daily washing or other uses.
The Cerise restaurant where you have breakfast is also located on the 28th floor. Whether you want to enjoy the bustling business of Hamarikyu Garden, the sea and sky of Tokyo Bay, or the rows of skyscrapers in Minato City, the hotel's on-site staff will kindly arrange it. The semi-buffet breakfast offers an unlimited supply of egg dishes and desserts, providing guests with a wonderful start to their day. Because every choice looks very tempting, after much consideration, I finally decided on Fricassee Lobster Omelet and Mango Pancake; although overall it may not be a surprising surprise. , but I believe it will definitely be the kind of "breakfast at Conrad Tokyo is worth it" deliciousness. (So I ate mango waffles for two days straight.)
It is worth mentioning that "Mojave Ghost" was chosen by Conrad Tokyo. Its low-key and calm fragrance is a moving memory that lingers for a long time.

We recently capped off our two week stay in Japan with a stay at this impressive hotel in Tokyo. Every aspect of this hotel met or exceeded our expectations. As a Hilton Honors Diamand member, I was warmly received by the staff, was upgraded to an executive bay view room and was invited to relax in the lounge as they prepared our room (we arrived at the hotel shortly after 12 noon). Once we entered our room, we were awestruck by the amazing view and the comfortable, well laid out and luxurious features of the room itself. Having access to the executive lounge was a great benefit and we greatly enjoyed the afternoon tea and then later on drinks and food during the evening.
I also enjoyed a very relaxing swim in the hotel's gorgeous pool.
Every staff member I interacted with provided excellent service, but I have to mention the waiter at the hotel's bar, where I went later for drinks and dessert. When I asked him the location of the restroom, rather than just pointing, he personally escorted me to the entrance. Very impressive effort!
I hope to return in the future for a longer stay!

staff: Because it was Chuseok, it was almost fully booked, but thanks to the consideration of Mina at the check-in counter, both rooms were assigned to the same floor. At the breakfast room, I was able to have an even more enjoyable meal thanks to Akari and Yuka, who are studying Korean. Basically, all staff are friendly and provide excellent hospitality.
food: Breakfast and the food in the executive lounge are also excellent. Kazahana's teppanyaki course, which you can eat while looking out at the sea, was also impressive.
guest room: Unlike other hotels in Japan, it is spacious. Executive and suite rooms offer turndown service twice a day, so I felt good every time I went out and returned.
Fitness and Spa: Mizuki Spa has a jacuzzi and wet/dry sauna. The facilities were clean and there weren't many people, so I was able to enjoy it leisurely. The gym had all the latest technogym equipment.
location: It is a 5-minute walk to Shimbashi Station, a 10-minute walk to Ginza, and is directly connected to Yurikamome Shiodome Station, making the location excellent.
Overall Review: If you are traveling with a family, this is a hotel you should definitely consider.

The hardware is decent, and for Japan, the room size is excellent. The daily housekeeping is very thorough; they even fold the clothes and neatly arrange the charging cables.
However, the management seems a bit lacking. Because my flight arrived early, I wanted to check in early. Although I am a Hilton Gold member, they said I had to pay an extra $87 per night for an upgrade, which I immediately refused. After some back and forth, they eventually upgraded me to a Bay View twin room. But then they said that because of the upgrade, the complimentary breakfast for Gold members was no longer included. I was dumbfounded. After arguing about it during the day, they eventually reinstated the breakfast, but overall it was quite frustrating.
The breakfast options were far too limited compared to hotels of the same level in China. There's a menu for ordering items, but each guest is only allowed to order one, which feels quite stingy.
All in all, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

This hotel is one of the top hotels we have ever stayed at! Fabulous responsive staff, all of whom speak English. Excellent tasty restaurants and fantastic rooms! Our view outside from 35th floor allowed us to see business district, mechanical clock and skywalk. The rooms are extremely quiet, with all light and shade fixtures having controls on the wall. The bathroom was spectacular and extra amenities are given in there. Everything was super clean and fresh. Having the skywalk right outside the door allows you to easily and safely get around to Ginza and bargain shopping. Perfect stay here!

Our stay at Conrad Tokyo was phenomenal from start to finish! I knew from the beginning you had to take an elevator up to the 28th floor as the hotel was located on the 28th-37th floors. I was a bit concerned about that process, but I had absolutely no reason to be! Staff were always present, and graciously assisted as needed.
As a Hilton diamond member I was upgraded to an executive room with a view of the Tokyo Bay. The room was larger than expected with a picture view. The level of cleanliness was impeccable and we both loved the small Conrad bear left on the table.
Our favorite place was the Executive Room. The chef was able to make your omelet to your taste and there were many other choices. Not only did you have food choices but you had two rooms with different views to pick from. What made it so outstanding was the staff than worked there, we found ourselves not only coming up to eat but to interact with the staff. A special thanks to Jaya and Monica F for making our stay feel like home away from home. Your hospitality is unmatched!
We thoroughly enjoyed our massages at the hotel, it comes highly recommended.
Housekeeping came twice a day with nightly turndown, water and fresh pajamas. They deserve much gratitude for the job they do, and the level they do it!
Overall, the location was great, we always felt safe and enjoyed our stay immensely!

I had a wonderful stay at the Conrad hotel in Tokyo. The moment we arrived we were greeted by name by the bell attendant. They took our luggage’s with white gloves on. Another attendant guided us to the check-in counter on the 28th floor. We had a delightful concierge name Mika. We then saw her again at the club lounge and she greeted us so warmly. Customer service was 5 stars! Conrad hotel lives up to its excellent service throughout the entire stay. Every time we entered or exited the hotel we were greeted. The club lounge was amazing and offered an assortment of food and alcoholic whiskeys and wine. Rooms: we had one spacious suite with modern and clean furniture. The bedding and bed was perfect. The shower water pressure was powerful and the water temperature was hot which is what we prefer. The hotel has bottles of premium shampoo, conditioner body wash and lotion so you don’t need to bring your own. The brand is Byredo Mojave Ghost. Restaurant: we had a beautiful breakfast buffet with all you can order lobster omelet, avocado toast, cafe lattes and matcha lattes. kotomi was very welcoming each day we came to restaurant for breakfast. She checked on our family and asked if we needed anything. It was such a nice stay during our trip in Japan.

Fluctuating between 3 and 4 stars, it ended up being only 3 stars. Basically I have no comparison within Tokyo, but coming directly from the Conrad Osaka - and these two hotels are really worlds apart.
The room (King City View - but you're actually just looking at another skyscraper) is not really well thought out and is sometimes quite old-fashioned. A night light that cannot be switched off which illuminates half the room, a hard bed, the constant noise from the subway (poor insulation) and the very noisy hallway/door to the hallway mean that sleeping is only possible with earplugs and a mask - annoying in a 5 star luxury hotel which is currently going for around 800 USD/night.
The breakfast is a maximum of 4 star level, at 7:30 a.m. with around 70% occupancy there was hardly any fruit available at the buffet, only upon request. The breakfast in the main restaurant was "expanded" into a side restaurant, I think the buffet there is a bit slimmed down.
The Executive Lounge on the 37th floor seems very restless and poorly filled (a completely different world compared to the lounge in the Conrad Osaka).
If you choose the hotel because of the location (business traveler) it certainly makes sense to book here, otherwise in my opinion not so much.

You should take the Keikyu Line to the Shimbashi station, where from there it is a very easy walk though the below ground shopping plaza to the Conrad entrance.
Hi—you’re looking at approximately ¥12,000 it might be a bit cheaper but I’d budget for at least this amount. If you have Uber you can order a taxi from the app in Japan. Sometimes, not always it can work out to be a better deal to take Uber black from the airport but you’d have to check the details on arrival. You can also call or email the concierge at the hotel who would be more that willing to help make transportation arrangements.
I’ve stayed at the hotel many times and it’s a hard place to leave—-because it’s just so nice! 😊 I hope you enjoy your stay!
